Another goal today, that's 4 goals and 5 assists in 14 games this season. Surely he has to move on from this dire Stoke team either in January or the summer. He's 26 now and still frustratingly inconsistent but I think he's capable of pushing on and finally fulfilling that potential under the right manager, one that isn't Mark Hughes.

He's be a great depth player for Spurs, maybe Arsenal when Sanchez and Ozil leave.

Used to rate him.
Think he's a mid-table player now.

Watched Stoke a few times this season, been impressed with him. He's a central component in that team.

We’ve been a one man team this season, he’s so far ahead of everyone else it’s unreal.

I’d welcome him here as an option at RW.

Same goes for Mahrez, Zaha and Willian to be honest.

He's better than Stoke but until he replicated this form for the rest of the season I won't be convinced, dare I say it he's a luxury player, and I'm not a fan of that saying. Also his defensive contribution is pretty weak which most of the top 6 teams simply won't tolerate anymore.

He's only 26?! Crazy. Thought he'd be nearing 30 now. Seems to have been around for ~10 years.

Same how I feel about the likes of Lukaku and Oxlade, they're even younger yet I feel like I know their names for such a long time now.

The best player in world football is a luxury player, not sure that says anything.

Could be a good signing for Spurs or even us. A left footed player that can keep the ball and is a good dribbler is something that we are missing on the RW, just need to see how he performs for the entire season.

He's a weird player, now and then he seems to become an incredible playmaker and his technique and vision seem amazing, but then he'll just go for months doing nothing. I do think he'd probably be more consistently good in a team that isn't so shite

Every time I watch him I can't take my eyes off his hairline, it's almost completely gone. C'mon Xherdan mate, you ain't fooling anyone just buzz your head already. Decent player though, think he's better than Stoke but not top 6 level. He could thrive in a europa league team.

Could be a lack of ambition, laziness or that he is just a cut below world class. Some matches for the NT I see him very involved & motivated to get a result but is often isolated and a non factor.

Truth is, I've never been convinced he'd last as an outright winger due to his inability to maintain his pace beyond 5-10 meters. He has great burst owing to those enormous thighs of his but apart from initial separation he can't ultimately take advantage as defenders can close on him before he gets into too dangerous a position. I think he will have to move into midfield but he doesn't have the dribbling skills to be effective enough there but the #10 role should be where he is deployed and where he will need to improve & grow into

His weakness is he is unambitious. Doesn't push himself enough. This is a guy who can work hard when he chooses, defend well and kill with his talent in attack. A mourinho a Pep would make a man of him.
Well, we know that this really isn't true at all. He got progressively worse under Pep with every passing month.

I’d happily give him a chance at united.

Just look at salah and mane, both deemed not good enough for a top 4 team and now both basically carrying Liverpool.

Would love shaqiri or preferably mahrez to get a RW chance at united.

I imagine it's very hard playing against him. Low center of gravity, stocky and small, quick feet, hard to keep an eye on him. I used to play amateurish football when I was younger, always hated to play against people like him.
Think he could go level above Stoke. He would be a typical Arsenal signing for me.

Yet he never looked better, even behind Ribery & Robben
What do you mean? That he showed the best form of his career under Pep? That's clearly not true at all.

At Bayern he looked best with Heynckes in the treble season on the wing with Mandzu, Gomez or Pizza as striker. For a Pep player he lacks match intelligence and he always looked like an alien on the pitch doing the opposite what he should.

His numbers or influence may have been more impressive at Basel but I never saw him work harder despite playing less at Bayern

If anything his experience at Bayern under Pep only reinforced the impression that he will never reach world class

But I concur with @Blackwidow, lacks intelligence of an elite player and probably inadequate ambition

He's got a wicked shimmy on him but on a bad day plays like an oompa lumpa with an attitude problem.

Would take him at Liverpool as a backup for the right price.

He’s mid table quality, maybe Everton could be a good move.

Far too good for a team facing relegation, but not good enough for any of the PL top six.
