Well we were all wondering why is he quiet about United.
He's not quiet anymore, on the contrary he speaks a lot of bollocks.
Along with his all right attacking football the best part is about the squad. It sounds interesting given the fact how much dross he bought.
Guess what, possession football with which you have about 2 shots on goal at most isn't appreciated in England. Who would have thought.

Is this a joke lol? I guess if keeping the ball and doing nothing is fun for LVG then he might not enjoy us now.

He told Fox Sports in Holland: "If you ask me how did I do at United, I will say it was my best year ever, given the circumstances I was working under."

Tomorrow we will have Moyes saying my football is the most entertaining one in the league too.

How could we ever hire these clowns?

LVG is just so totally deluded.

It is much better now. It was brutal bad under Moyes and boring under Van Gaal. Just pass, pass and more passes.

Yeah it can still improve a lot, but the football under LVG was just the most dull ever.

I think the reason LVG got away with is was due to Moyes being a transition into more boring football. Had LVG taken over from SAF directly people would have been attacking him much sooner.

How can he say he’d played attacking football? Just because we had more possession doesn’t mean it was attacking.

We spent more time in our half passing the ball sideways than actually going at teams.

Plus we are second in the league, through to the next round of the Champions League and have more trophies than under his tenure.

I thought he and Mourinho had a good relationship but that seems to have been train wrecked after Mourinho and Gill plotted behind his back while he was busy winning us the FA cup.

I would like to meet Mr Van Gaal and let him know personally that he did more damage to this club than even David Moyes did... that's how bad an appointment he was for us

He’s lucky he was allowed to collect the FA Cup before he got the sack..

Obviously the opponent would park the bus if you keep the ball. It was on us to break them down, which never happened with our slow passing.

To be fair to him his record in the big games was top notch. 3-2 v Arsenal and 2-1 at Anfield were great.

yea,it's a good time to attack mourinho..whilst he is partly responsible for that result against mancity,he had his best midfielder out and two defensive errors that he couldn't have forseen...could he have done better?,yes.i just hate this hive mentality to attack him at any slight opportunity..

Very true. Less embarrassments for the neutral to enjoy. And less fake dives.

Mourinho will be thanking Louis for that, if there’s one sentence from one man that will get fans behind Mourinho, it’s that from him.

Not sure why so many on here are having a pop at LVG when so many of our fans on here say the same thing!

Van Gaal did similar to Bobby Robson at Barca. I like him but these comments are disappointing.

Hmm. I suspect he thinks he is top of the food chain and all the rest are his decibels which affords him the right to Lord it over them.

I also liked LVG the man - have never come across someone in football with such self confidence and ego. Was amusing to observe.

Another false narrative, that is only perpetuated because LVG was gash against smaller teams. So when he actually did the business against top teams it stuck in the memory.

In 15/16 LVG got 19/36 points. And this included games against Liverpool and Chelsea who were both in crisis. Both of these teams were not 'top' teams that season as they both finished mid table. If we include Leicester City in that calculation then his record gets worse as he got two draws which puts him at 21/42 points.

That's an amazing 1.5 points per game against the big boys, which is ordinary.

LVG was NOT good in big games, he lost 3-0 to Arsenal and Tottenham, was humilated in the Europa league by Liverpool. Not to mention his shambolic performances in the Champions League.
