Where do you get this from? Stop talking crap.Board don’t trust Mourinho anymore. Not gonna invest on him.
Base on what?Board don’t trust Mourinho anymore. Not gonna invest on him.
Bullshit. Both the board and Mourinho know we have to patient with the rebuild.Board don’t trust Mourinho anymore. Not gonna invest on him.
I think it's in terms of player recruitment 2- 4 per summer no major change there unlike dramatic clear out with several new signings which many like me and some others on this forum are hoping .There won't be a dramatic improvement? Interesting thing to say.
I see two scenarios here. At the end of his contract the atmosphere has turned against Jose so he leaves and goes to PSG where he is put back on a competitive footing with City, where he goes onto dominate the CL and Ligue with Pep maybe alternating with him for CL success. While we go through a series of 1-2 year failed managers and into regular 5-7th placed territory. What I got from this is that Mourinho expects to be managing United next season, which puts all the PSG rumours to bed. Which is good news.
Now where have I heard that before..."It’s not going to happen that there is a dramatic change and a dramatic improvement but with time, step by step, with some balance, we have to do it."
Uh-oh.
A lot of United supporters are going to throw a fit over that. They want massive overhauls.
He is setting a foundation for United consisting of Pogba, Lukaku, Lindelof, Bailly, Rashford, Martial, Lingard, Shaw, and the four youngsters (the Perieras, McTominay, Fosu-Mensah). They are the future for United. Plus whichever two or three players United get this summer.
Which fans will force? Fans at OT or caftards? It is all on Mou and his performance as a manager, Woody and the owners.I see two scenarios here. Or he signs a new longer contract and makes patient progress, developing the youth (Rashford, Martial, Lindelof, TFM, Tuanzebe, Pereira, Gomes etc.) and gets the odd title and trophy along the way while City dominate in general.
My concern is the fans will force it to be the first scenario.
There was already booing in the last game. The Caf is full of matchgoers and many of them are anti-Mourinho. The mood could go very sour, even this season. If we finish 3rd-4th and Cupless then I can see the crowd turning and the board panicking.Which fans will force? Fans at OT or caftards? No, it sounds like he is still saying the spending isn't enough compared to City and PSG but he understands the situation. He was also understanding about not landing Perisic last summer. So we've gone from 'transfer spend is not enough' to 'there will only be 2 or 3 summer signings and we have to take our time'. Sounds like somebody has had a bollocking and been told to keep quiet.
That sounds great on paper. But would we get 5-7 good 30-50 million pound signings? I'd take that over a couple if huge signings as well.Id rather forsake an ill judged marquee signing or two and get 5-7 younger talents in and transform the look of the first team. New LB, one CM, new 10, RW, CF seems priority to me. Instead of splashing 100m on a Griezmann.. Should be aiming for 30-50m talents and build a new look side across the pitch and then season after start adding marquee players to that.
The board wont panick, never. They are businessmen in the class of their own. We have heard "stick that banner up your arse" defending Moyes the Clown. So, I do not think Mou will be booed. Players get occasionally booed, happens at many teams including at Real, that is the nature of the game. There was already booing in the last game. When there is booing of a substitution, as there has been twice now I think, is that at the player going off, the player coming on, or the manager making the sub?The board wont panick, never. Nah, it sounds like the media took three words ("it's not enough") and twisted a narrative that Mourinho is not happy with the board. Hence, this from the article:So we've gone from 'transfer spend is not enough' to 'there will only be 2 or 3 summer signings and we have to take our time'. Sounds like somebody has had a bollocking and been told to keep quiet.
And take cheer, because United are getting another Pogba/Lukaku next summer:"I have the backing of the club and the first backing of the club I had was a three-year contract where everybody knows the job was not easy," he said. "And we all know that we invest a lot, so when you invest as much as we did, it wouldn't be very fair for me to say the club didn't support, the club didn't want to help. It would be very unfair, which is not me.
"The club invested a lot of money. The problem is not the money we invest, the problem is the money the others invest and it is the problem that others with better squads, with better stability, with more options, they keep investing and that's the only problem [...].
"My club, two years ago, paid a lot of money for Paul [Pogba]. Last year, they paid a lot of money for Lukaku and I'm sure, next year, they are also going to pay a lot of money for one player. But we are doing these things with some balance because it's the profile of the club. We do it with some balance."
There wasn't a lot of booing nor there will be in the future. Even if it happened regulary it wouldn't be a thing that would force the board to sack Jose. When there is booing of a substitution, as there has been twice now I think, is that at the player going off, the player coming on, or the manager making the sub?
We booed Moyes and LVG. The trendline is towards LVG's second season. I'm hoping we finish 2nd and get a Cup and it will keep the baying of the wolves quiet so to speak but if we get 3rd of 4thand trophyless and playing unattractive football in some fans mind then I can confidently say there will be chants of 'Attack Attack Attack', booing after bad results and Jose out chants. The atmosphere is already quite toxic.
Pathetic nothing post which of course you didn't even attempt to legitimise in the first instance or return to do. Off you go for a angry cry someplaceBoard don’t trust Mourinho anymore. Not gonna invest on him.
Yeah it's not like Mourinho himself didn't say not to interpret wrongly his words and that he's been backed. People just hear what they want to hear and most of the times they don't even listen to the guy or read what he has said.Pathetic nothing post which of course you didn't even attempt to legitimise in the first instance or return to do. The response of the board after Mourinho claims we are not spending enough. They are not gonna spend more on his approaches. Normally the manager asks for more support then board will respond well and fully support to help the manager get the job done after. But board just ignore Mourinho request this time.Base on what?
At the same conference he said they invested heavily in Pogba, Lukaku and will do the same next summer. When I saw the conference I genuinely though oh great this planning will put to bed the psg chat for now. But no, just replaced with more inane muck.Yeah it's not like Mourinho himself didn't say not to interpret wrongly his words and that he's been backed. I hope you are right. There wasn't a lot of booing nor there will be in the future. Even if it happened regulary it wouldn't be a thing that would force the board to sack Jose.
Anyway 2 or 3 signings along with getting back Pereira and giving more game time to TFM and Tuanzebe or some other youth product who is good enough isn't that bad.
Forward player is a must, if we can get a CM and a RB with that too it's a good summer. But if Jose says 2, 3 signings that doesn't mean we won't get more imo.
We’ll see. If there’s no contract extension for Mourinho, my thought might correct. You're making stuff up.
Tell me, how have you come to the conclusion that board 'ignore Mourinho this time'?The response of the board after Mourinho claims we are not spending enough. They are not gonna spend more on his approaches. Normally the manager asks for more support then board will respond well and fully support to help the manager get the job done after. That would be an excellent transfer window.I hope you are right.
Perhaps the two or three in and out doesn't include players signed on a free? ie. Ozil
At my most optimistic I can see:
Carrick, Darmian, Fellaini out
Jorginho, Tierney, Dybala, Ozil in
Something like these numbers and positions
