Sad. Can't see him returning back to what he was at all tbh.

Unlucky for him, was great last season. But he's done here, and won't really be missed.

Doesnt matter. Better to groom Rashford/Martial. Give a good rest to Lukaku and bring him back fresh.

He better come out with some nonsensical, alpha male, bullshit quote fast so people think it is a good idea to give him a new contract.

Another awful decision to bring him back. Again nostalgia crap from the club.

Not sure if he's actually newly injured or Mourinho realized he's not fit enough or good enough to come back yet. Either way doesn't change much for us as a team since he can't provide anything positive in the state he was in before anyway.

What a great decision to give him 180 grand a week for this season. Release him in January and bring in two strikers and a winger.

Gonna guess this is the manager being kind to him after seeing what is current fitness and mobility is.

I’d be surprised if there is a real injury

So lions do recover like humans after all.

Giving him a contract out of pity was another stupid decision from the club to add to the numerous others in the last 4.5 years.

The idea that a 36 y.o. coming after a horrific injury can help United compete for the title is bordering on stupidity.

Well with Lukaku out for the next few games we don't have any real options there bar Rashford and possibly Martial now.
I’m hoping we’ll buy an out and out striker.

Amongst footballing managerial 'Gods'
Solanke has looked good for Liverpool. He was available last summer and United should have gone for him as back up to lukaku. I believe Rashford and Martial needs to step up now and provide a dynamic front line for us while both Zlatan and Lukaku are out. Bring up one of our strikers from the academy or from loan to warm the bench if they are good enough.

I like Ibra, big charismatic guy, larger than life, but all this posturing was always a bit far fetched for a player his age with such a serious injury, he looks pretty much done at this level, should head to the MLS as soon as possible.

Yeah, he's done. I am glad he got to play for us at least. I wish we got him sooner.

To say that he's done is ridiculous. C.Ronaldo had a very serious injury at the euro last year and came back well. Zlatan is arguably as fit as Ronaldo, no reason he can't come back for good. Not like Zlatan had any pace to lose, really. Give him until the end of March to judge, still a lot of games to be played in the season.
