Kids throwing handgrenades in the suburbs has been a recurring problem the last few years. Last year a kid was killed after a grenade was thrown through a window of an apartment if I remember correctly.

The gangs behind it should probably complain to the Swedish government and claim it is racist that there are no bazookas handy, they would most likely be compensated knowing the Swedish government.

I prefer that te government subsidize bazookas than the government keep it by themselves under corruption like here in Spain and people suicide because of the economic crises they provoked, they got kicked out of their homes.

You nordics don´t realize that to waste money in stupid subsidizes you have to have that money to waste. FFS, not long ago, swedish government had to ask their people to stop paying too much taxes

I would place the statement about it being 'a weekly happening' in the alternative facts category, at best.

"Bombings increased significantly in 2015, with Swedish police investigating around 100-150 explosions.[1][2][3] There were over 30 grenade attacks reported in the Swedish city of Malmö alone by August 2015,[4] up from a total of 25 in all of 2014.[5] Malmö police have consequently warned about undetonated grenades in the city.[6][7] According to Swedish police, the use of hand grenades in crime is unprecedented in all comparable European and non-European countries, and the only countries with similar characteristics are those with warlike conditions, such as Mexico with the ongoing drug war and one study suggests it had four to five times as many fatal shootings per capita as Norway and Germany from 2008-2014.[8][2] Many attacks are related to organised crime and extortion of restaurants and businesses.[9]"

But sure, just make sure that head is comfortably buried in sand. There are no social problems in Sweden whatsoever, it is all a right-wing construct.

Holy shit...it looks like Colombia from the 80s. Never been to Sweden but had a totally different assumptions about the level of crime there.

It's in Sweden's interest to keep the media attention to a minimum. Note that the very violent crimes are mostly restricted to a few 'ghetto' areas in Sweden. The gangs there mainly consist of Swedes with immigrant roots from Africa, the Balkan and the Middle-East.

Of course it is not the same. That's not what 'looks like' means. But tossing hand grenades in a Scandinavian country a common occurance? Seriously?
Even with the existence of hand grenades, it looks absolutely nothing like Colombia in the 1980s did. Lazy comparison.

It looks like you absolutely are fun at parties.
Another lazy comment. I'm very fun at parties.

Have you ever come home and found someone shot dead on your front door? I have. My family used to be subject to curfews imposed by local gangs and cartels. Even going on your own balcony was dangerous. Seeing assassinations was commonplace, as was terrorism. You'd be lucky not to be collateral damage as a witness.

So sorry, I just don't buy that Sweden now looks like Colombia of that time.

Jesus mate chill out. I am sorry for any trauma you have experienced by the events you described. But my advice is not to jump when someone on the internet makes a comparison involving Colombia . Better for your general well being.

I am chill. I simply challenged your claim and you implied I'm not fun at parties which I didn't like since it was dismissive and personal. I also don't appreciate your comment on my general well being, but let's end the discussion there. Have a nice day.

A better start would be that you stop making stupid comparisons - trivializing the 90’s in Colombia or massively exaggerating the situation in Sweden.

Or maybe you could not make stupid comparisons and then get defensive over them?
