    To be honest, I'm worried.
Sevilla could try and press us into oblivion.
    I pray we are solid.
Would be pleasantly surprised if we're the ones doing the pressing.

The harder they press, the more chances are that we can pick them up on the counter. I think the result will again be dependent on how our midfield/defense do to help quick transitions and aid Sanchez, Lukaku & Martial to do the damage.

In theory, this is correct but we seem more likely to crumble when teams press than play through it.

True. That is my worry. Hopefully, Pogba would have overcome all his "illness" and be ready to shine on the biggest stage to the put the doubts to bed. We badly need to play well to have any chance in the champions league. My confidence in Matic has been eroding with each passing game since December.

Will need Pogba’s drive for transitions and pin point passing alongside Lukaku having a better day with hold up. If we can get it into Lukaku to link off a counter we’re in business.

Carrick has played 4 times this season, I think only 3 of those were starts. He also played a full 90 minutes last night, do you really expect him to start in our biggest game of the season so far, especially with it being away from home to Spanish opposition?

We are going to replicate yesterday’s approach, albeit against much better opposition. But they do lack goal scoring instincts. Sarabia is the biggest danger and even he isn’t putting up numbers that make you worry.

De Gea, Valencia, Jones, Pogba, Lingard and Martial in with Romero, Shaw, Lindelof, Carrick, McTominay and Mata out.

It’s a shame Bailly is definitely not ready to start.

We will play to get an away goal.
They'll have a couple of attacks on the break, but won't commit many men forward.

Imo the aim will be 0-0 in the away leg and then go to OT simply with the aim to win the match, as if it were a league game.

What are you saying? Is Pogba locked in his room with headphones up to 11. Beating fists on pillow muttering about
Sanchez not having to help that boring Matic chap defend. Sanchez being better on the piano. Sanchez on better wages.
Lingard being besties with Sanchez now and forgetting his old friends. Can’t be true... can it?

0-0 away from home in the first leg is a shite result. feck that - let's go out there to score anyway.
It's not brilliant but you'd still have to put United as favourites to progress after that.

If United can't then beat Sevilla at OT then quite frankly they aren't good enough to be CL quarter finalists.

What is with all of this talk of 0-0??

We will score over there, so I am not sure where the negativity is coming from.

Not supremely confident considering our recent form. Hope Pogba is fit to play. Luckily Sevilla are missing a couple of key players.

Sevilla concede quite a few goals in La Liga, but are a very good home team. Still, let's try to get an away goal.

We are a much better side then they currently are, so we should be going into this with a fair bit of confidence, so I can see us scoring multiple goals over there, which should set things up rather nicely for the return leg at home.

Keep it tight and hit them on the counter. They won't handle Sanchez/Lukaku/Pogba if they're on form.

We're going to struggle. Against any team which presses high up the field we struggle. We will get chances on the counter but we have to defend really well to get anything from the match.

Considering Seville , I think they would try to attack us as they are at home. We need our defence to be alert and on their toes. We would also need our midfielders to help out with the defence. For me the team would be

    ............................................ De Gea ......................................
    .... Valencia ......... Bailly ................... Jones ............ Shaw ........
    ...................... Matic ......................... Pogba ............................
    ...................................... Sanchez ............................................
    ....... Rashford ..................................................... Martial ..........
    .................................... Lukaku ..............................................

I might even leave pogba as substitute and play one more midfielder like Herrera or Blind in his place so that we can sit deep, and attack in counter with our fast running front three. Also I would chose these players as I think they can track back when needed.

    More realistic than anything.
Not at all, there isn't much to be too pessimistic about going into this match, so my sure why there is reason to think that we will struggle against them.

Because our approach in away games in Europe is pessimistic and Jose is a pragmatic manager.

It'd be typical after all the success the other English teams have had in the knockouts so far for us to draw 0-0 or lose 1-0.

MEN posted this earlier this evening.

Phil Jones and Marcos Rojo are not expected to make the match - along with Marouane Fellaini and Zlatan Ibrahimovic.
Mourinho is hopeful Marcus Rashford, Antonio Valencia and Ander Herrera will be fit in time - after being ruled out on Saturday - but called on his players to prove their mental resilience in European club football’s biggest prize.
Mourinho admitted he didn’t know the extent of Pogba’s problem after the Frenchman was declared unavailable on the morning of the game against Huddersfield.

    HELLO
Can't wait! Knockout CL football, can't be beat.

I'll be surprised if Mourinho doesn't go with his most hardworking lineup.

    DDG
    Valencia Bailly Smalling Young
    Matic Pogba Herrera/Lingard
    Sanchez Lukaku Rashford

I'll be shocked if Martial starts.

Watched the embargoed part of Jose presser and yeah Jones and Rojo are out but Herrera and Rashford had a chance. That means we're going to play with Bailly and Smalling at the back then.
