So is this as good as everyone in the media has been raving on about? Might give it a go.
Just watched the first 4 episodes and I quite liked it even though I'm sure that as a German I don't catch a lot of the inside jokes. Still very enjoyable.

Decided to give it a go last night. First two eps back-to-back and I had to hold myself from watching the third, because I needed kip. Best new comedy in ages.
Let me tell you something that might be a bit dangerous. I was raised in Derry. I was schooled in divination, Ecclesiastical balming and Theological Theosophy. I was given the title of Shaman. They take a show “Derry Girls.” They have a 5-foot-2-inch little Priest, whether he was straight or gay, I don’t know. I don’t care. He had never studied the Dead Sea Scrolls. He doesn’t speak Vulgate. He has never cleansed a house of spirits. They make him the Priest. We got 450,000 phone calls in my agent's office from everybody in the world saying, “That role was perfect for you. How did that happen?” Most of the people I know didn’t like the show and didn’t watch it. It’s just a classic example of showbusiness and the politics.

Binge watched it on Netflix. Very enjoyable overall. The end of the last episode of season 1 was really good.
Brilliant return. I was in two minds about the first series but this one's really upped it. Caveat being it's half time, still watching.

Wonderful first two episodes. I was a little worried that all the praise would be too much pressure but no. Of all recent sitcoms it’s between this and Detectorists for me.

Binged watched all episodes over last 24 hours. It’s brilliant.
People compare it to The Inbetweeners - which I also love - but I think it’s better as a whole. It reminds me of the last episode of season 1 of The Inbetweeners, where warmth, vulgarity and comedy were evenly balanced (as opposed to some later Inbetweeners episodes/films which could be a little nasty, and value gross-out humour over embarrassing humour).
Another lovely, funny, touching way to finish the series, and making a political point without preaching. I can’t wait for series 3. And 4?
I’d like there to be many series but I wouldn’t want the quality to decline (I’d have loved a fourth series of Detectorists but I also think it was ended perfectly). Five series and then a film, maybe.

Just started watching this. After about 5 minutes I realized I need to turn the subtitles on. I understand most of it but when they get going fast and start using slang I have no clue what they are saying. 
Just started this today. Enjoyed the first episode. Obviously it's a comedy show - the way that detention scene comes together with the diary, the sandwich, and the lipstick is brilliant - but what I really liked was the way it used the Troubles as both a mild inconvenience and a creeping threat that's probably going to have bigger consequences later on. I get the feeling this is going to be a comedy show that eventually reveals itself to be a dramedy, and I'm on board with that really.
Season 1 and Season 2 were class - really liked the show.
