Interesting indeed. For once, he's absolutely deserved his kicking by the media, fans and every Tom, Dick and Harry on the Internet. Let's see how he reacts. I've a tenner on badly.

Doubt there'll be anything interesting.
Like all managers, he's going to deflect.

They wont bring up much champions league talk in this FA Cup presser. They've used their moments on that..

Well, according to that UnitedPages that people have been quick to discredit, he'll clarify further his post-match comments from Tuesday. Given that everyone is talking about the pathetic performance and Jose's negativity, with him being completely written off in some quarters of the media, I think this is quite fascinating to see.

"Loosing in the FA Cup is nothing new for this club. When I was at Chelsea, in 2007..." :wenger:

Fans cannot detach themselves from the disappointments of their teams performances...managers can! Of course we do need to move on as there’s a cup quarter final to contend with but if we don’t or haven’t learnt anything from that abysmal display on Tuesday then where is the progress??

Yep. I'd just love him to come out and say 'I got it wrong, there was more than a good enough chance to progress in the biggest competition and we, me and the players, let the fans down'.

I hope some reporters have the balls to ask him the obvious questions. He should be held accountable for Tuesday's shambles.

Think he'll be calm & collected.

Yeah. For once in his time at United, he's deserved all the criticism coming his way.

Sevilla will be a watershed moment, one way or another.

He did apologize when we lost 4-0 to Chelsea last season. Wouldn't mind some grovelling now, the fans certainly deserve an apology. But I am not holding my breath.

If he addresses the CL exit in any sort of apologetic fashion, I'd expect him to do so if and when we have progressed into the FA Cup semis, and not before.

He should be made to explain his post match comments and clarify why he said what he said.

It's obvious what he meant, he was trying to deflect criticism by pointing out the club has been knocked out at the last 16 before

I am not going to run away or disappear or to cry because I heard a few boos, I’m not going to disappear from the tunnel, running immediately, the next match I will be the first to go out. I am not afraid of my responsibilities.

When I was 20 i was nobody in football, I was somebody’s son, with a lot of pride, and now with 55 I am what I am I did what I did because of work and because of talent and my mentality. So they can be together, I understand that for many many many years was really really hard for the people who doesn’t like me, here he is again, here he wins again.

For 10 months I win nothing, the last title that I won was 10 months ago, I beat Liverpool, Chelsea, I lose against Sevilla and now is their moment to be happy. I learn that in my religious formation, be happy with others happiness, so be it, I am a really happy guy.

How important is Brighton?
Every match is important, I didn’t know, I was not very objective when I told Sevilla is more important than Liverpool, for some fans the Liverpool game, doesn’t matter which competition is, can be more important than any other match.

I’m pretty sure some of the Manchester United supporters would not change a victory against Liverpool for one vs Sevilla even if the defeat to Sevilla means we end the competition. Every match is different and important.

He's giving the media a brief history of our terrible record in the CL since 2011, this may take a while

Erm....
I think he has a bit of a point there. Cohesion/continuity is, imo, the most under rated aspect in all of pro sports. Until United has a consistent starting 11, we will continue to see the ups and downs we have been.

This will annoy some people, but he is spot on.
He is right, but it doesn't explain away the way he set us up on Tuesday. Agree we are years of planning behind City, no doubt. I'll forgive the league position, but is he saying he didn't have enough to beat Seville? Na mate.

Yep, it's context that's been sorely lacking from most quarters. I think we did shite against Sevilla and it was unacceptable, but that one result and performance aside, I agree wholeheartedly.
