Are you the ref?
I would have thought that we could have our pick of promising young coaches to manage our under-23 side.

Can anyone explain what exactly Ricky Sbragria brings to the party? His record both as a player and a manager is very poor and totally underwhelming.

Can anyone explain what it is the club sees in him? Is he particularly good at youth development?

Indy Boonen adds a third with a brilliant near-post finish to secure the three points.

He was pretty decent first time round in the role tbf, though that was close to 15 years ago (yeesh, only feels like yesterday :()

I rate Riley highly, he just scored the fourth but not the best of games by him tonight defensively. What do the regular youth teams watchers make of him?

Really like him and wish he'd have gotten more of a chance in the first team. He did very well in his cameos and has been well above this level for some time now. He's exactly the type of fullback I want in the first team too. The non stop energy up and down. While CBJ got a lot of attention for a while I always preferred Riley. He should be out on loan though now instead of still here. Waste of time and he should be playing senior football. Has what it takes to make it in the PL imo. Needs to push on though instead of stagnating.

Yes he was very positive in his first team cameo and he is a very solid performer for the reserves, captaining them also. I also felt he should have gone on loan, I'm how is his contract, but I hope we give him another chance, personally I think he has the talent to be a fullback for us.

I can't help but I wish Gomes could have signed for Barcelona academy on professional contract as it would help Gomes's development because La Liga academy is less physically and more technically which Gomes can thrive in this environment. I'm more interested in his development rather than trying to break into the first team but now he is struggling with the U23, it saddens me to see him struggling like that.

On other hands, I don't want Gomes to spend most of the time in U23 trying to bulk up and be more physical instead of progressing. That's why I said La Liga is better because he doesn't have to worry about physically so he can express himself whenever he likes.

First of all; What?! Secondly, you are aware that Gomes have been injuried for quite some time, right?

God I love Chong! he's the type of player we've needed for years. Really hope we can cement a top 4 place early and then Jose can give him a few cameo's.

Pathetic post.

Gomes isn't playing because he's injured.

Bloody hell the bolded thing is completely bonkers. Which team do you really support? We really have the worst fans in the world.

Barcelona haven’t had a homegrown come through for a long time.

I am aware of that as well but when he moved to the U23, he's been struggling, not long before he gets injured, he has played 4 match in U23, why you're making it as if he have never played U23 matches before and been injured? You implying that I am the worst fan? I wouldn't wish for anyone to be struggling as I want to see them doing so well and more interested in how they can go.

He got promoted to U23's later on in the season and before that he was absolutely bossing in U18's. It took 4 matches for you to gauge that he was struggling in U23s so much so that you want him to leave us?

I stated that Gomes's not ready for U23 physically, Chong has also bossed the U18 but he seems to play so well in the U23, I didn't say that I want him to leave, but I thought he would have thrived in less physically environment development like U18 or anywhere like La Liga and Eredivisie but not EPL U23. My point is if he's struggling with U23 physically, I don't want him to focus on trying to bulk up first, I want him to continue his development, but I thought if he's trying to bulk up could slow his development progress, that's it.

Maybe you should go to Gomes' thread since you're opinion has absolutely feck all to do with the game yesterday?

I've said it before but Riley has everything to become a really good PL full back.

How is PL2 more physical than senior football in Spain? It's a bunch of teenagers.

People need to relax to feck with Angel. He's played like 3-4 games where our whole team has been shit.
