I love all of em. However, Herrera, Smalling do not belong in a starting XI.

Mou must have threatened to take their phones away.

It's obvious BS. These players deliver time and time again once the shackles are taken off.

People look at Pogba's lackadaisical running style and make conclusions. Well look at his second goal where he 'jogged' while full of determination

I have to put my hands up and say I was questioning their desire at HT.

Completely proved me wrong, and I'm so glad they did.

They didn't before the break - after the break they were all brilliant. And finally Mourinho managed to get the team going - well done Jose.

Most fight we’ve shown since Sir Alex’s days. Didn’t think they had it in them but credit to the players & manager.

Funnily enough it feels like Guardiola's Pogba comments backfired and just spurred him on in that game. Most passion I've seen from him in a Utd shirt.

Great sign for next season, from both teams from a Utd perspective. This week has given a more accurate representation of City's true standing. Good, but flawed and if we keep it close they are beatable.

Now, Utd need to go and win the FA Cup, and they go into next season with momentum.

You can't defend that first half. They played with no respect for the shirt and no passion.

Second half completely turned it around and lived up to the United ethos. I don't want to see anyone defending the players for that first half, it doesn't change things just because we won, it was not on.

A base camp for the last, final assault
I've questioned the mentality of this team many times during this season and last, but fair play, up against it at halftime with all the media buzz before the game, that was a tremendous response. Fitting of Manchester United .

I've never understood the bemoaning of our team effort. Post Moyes we've never lacked in terms of effort. Maybe we've say back and tactically expended less energy but we haven't got a team that isn't bothered or doesn't try.

Definite watershed moment for Pogba today. Stepped up and showed real aggression for the cause. Loved it. I hope he won over a few doubters.

It's sensationalised bullshit as always from fans when things aren't going well. Of course the players care, it'd be very difficult not to.

There was no character in the first half! Mourinho has obviously taken the leash off for the second half and just told them to do what the feck they need to do to win. Then they showed character, was immense

But why? They were working too hard before HT if anything, it was clear they cared. They were just going about everything the wrong way. As soon as they refocussed their efforts on what they actually needed to do, they were there.

I've personally always been against slagging off our players. Very little evidence it's individuals producing the fundamental flaws in our side.

Brilliant comeback.

This felt like a character building moment.

Also, LoL @ singling out Herrera for criticism for this match. He always displays heart in big matches, and made some crucial plays.

I think this is rubbish in general. Granted, most players weren't fans of their current clubs when they were kids but this cliche is just thrown around when people are frustrated by their team's performance but don't know the details as to why they're playing badly (e.g. tactics, selection, formation).

The only time they let us was in the Sevilla game, but against Chelsea, Palace, Liverpool and today they showed loads of guts and character.
