I can see Southampton getting a result in the early kick off. Hoping Kane gets an own goal given against him after he claims on his aunts life that he didn't touch the ball.

What's the chance of Loserpool getting beaten by a small team?
It seems Chelski are going to miss out on the champions league. Would have loved if it was Loserpool instead.
Would prefer tottenham win than Shi.tty.

Whose wisdom was it that Spurs' fixture for 7:45 on a Saturday?
Think we are going to see a near empty away end.
I want a City draw.

Spurs do the job tonight and we win our two games and all of a sudden the lead is just 7 points. Lads it's on.

Also, looking at the table, maximum points Chelsea can get is 75. Win both games this week and we will be on 77 - guaranteeing top 4!

I'm all for hammering City's support but what?

They are a game or so away from winning the league, and playing a huge game at Wembley. Will have sold out comfortably

Considering my Uncle left my house 30 minutes ago to travel down (blue unfortunately), and he had to blag his ticket through a mate as it was over-subscribed - I'll stick with my call.

Anyway, enough defending City. Their support is bang average, but not in games like this

Chelsea can still get top 4 but they need to win today and hope for either Spurs to drop points or Liverpool. They need to target Liverpool because they have CL distractions and might drop more points. Currently they are 10 points behind with a game in hand. Win that game in hand - 7 points behind. Beat Liverpool at the Bridge and it's 4 points. Then they need Liverpool to drop points elsewhere. Very unlikely but still possible.

But Chelsea don't look up for it. Liverpool dropped points just last week and Chelsea did the same.

In the spirit of Hypothetical's, Chelsea win all their games, as do Spurs and Liverpool drop points and end up fifth, leaving Spurs 3rd and Chelsea 4th. Then Liverpool win the CL and Arsenal win the EL final. What happens to Chelsea?

True. Mathematically it's doable but you can't do anything if you're dropping points yourself. They probably don't deserve to finish top 4 given their performances and the stupid points they've dropped but with a bit of luck they can sneak in there. Must win every game from now. Were we not 8 points ahead of City with 5 games to go in 2012? They can take some inspiration from that.

I wonder if Hazard will get itchy feet if Chelsea drop out of the top 4.

I'm not sure. Liverpool and Arsenal would be guaranteed CL spots as winners of CL and EL respectively so probably Chelsea don't qualify? I really don't know. Can someone enlighten us and tell us what happens in this scenario? The maximum spots for each country is 5 teams. Don't think there's been 6 before.

If a team outside the Top 4 win the CL then only the Top 3 qualify along with the CL winner and the EL winner. You can only have 5 teams in it at the most.

Can Chelsea dropping more points today. They have given up in the league and are just focused on the F.A. Cup. Liverpool should easily win, instead. Crystal Palace-Brighton and Huddersfield-Watford are massive for the relegation zone. Spurs -City is probably gonna be a draw.

Aaah, so the cap is 5 teams I guess.

Next divvy question/s - Do both the league winner and CL winner go in pot 1 for the next years CL competition and what stage or pot, does the EL winner go in?

The itchy feet are already there (contract extension being delayed) but he kept going when they finished 10th too so it's probably more a question of what direction the club in general is heading for him.

Chelsea loses its spot as max 5 places from one league allowed.

Rumours that he's off. How much did he cost?
I get that they missed out on their first choice targets but surely their 2nd choices could have been better than zappacosta drinkwater and barkley. Drinkwater espescially never made any sense at all.

£35m apparently - always a slightly odd move, but knowing Chelsea they'll somehow make a profit selling him to China or something.

I quite like Drinkwater. £35 million aint shit these days. I'd cost £25 million.
Yeah but when you rid Matic for the same sort of amount it's a bit bizarre.
