Fantastic job by the players and coaches.

Special mention Nicky Butt who's been an incredible addition to the academy.

Also worth mentioning that we've win it by scoring 3 goals a game on average. Doing it in style.

Congratulations to the team. Always enjoyed watching the U18s this year as they play some great attacking football.

Yes, but what has changed under his leadership, specifically?
The assumption that he has been the cause of the improved form this season must be based on something?
He appointed mckenner, improved scouting, brought a lot of quality players in from other clubs and thats just the things us fans get to see and hear about.

Dont think its an assumption, the facts and results speak for themselves and dont think km was meaning just the improved form this season, we'v been improving pretty rapidly since he was appointed, culminating in winning the northern league this season. Since butt took over a couple of year ago we'v gone from being well behind a lot of academys the 3 areas i mentioned above (coaching, scouting, recruitment) to now being one of the top academys in the country both on the field and off it.

It's not an assumption. Anybody who has been following the academy will tell you how much improvement he has made. Anyway it's been talked about enough on here. Read "The academy restructuring thread" on youth forums if you're so interested in what Butt has done.

I dont really follow the academy so this is good to see and bodes well for the future. I thought city were miles ahead of everyone at this age though and sure I read articles saying every ex professional was sending their kids to citys academy etc.

The ex professionals kids is kinda irrelevant unless they are the best players in their age group.

We also seem to have a very good u18 manager who has the kids expressing themselves well, and they have good character. Notably the first years have settled in far quicker then other years.

Great news. Well done to them. Hopefully we'll see some make it through to the first team in the coming years!

Bodes well that this group of lads has done so well. Congratulations! Getting that winners mentality early can't be bad, can it?

Well done lads.

The U18’s have some super young players there.
Here’s hoping(thinking)we will see a few in the first team sooner rather than later.
