S'up.

I like the new version of Car Seat Headrest's Twin Fantasy more than both the old version and Teens of Denial.

First album I've listened to from this year.

The new Jack White album is impressively bad.

Which tbf is more interesting than a blandly competent album like Lazaretto.

This is incredibly good.
Yep. In my list a few posts up. Saw them live at the end of January and they're fantastic, can't wait for the album in June.

Ah sweet, this is all I've heard, so there's more good stuff?

Only two singles so far, the above and Face Behind The Cigarette, which is a bit less guitar driven but still a great tune. They did a session with Huw Stephens on Radio One recently where you'll find them doing live performances of the two singles and a third song called Breakfast Epiphany.

I'm hopefully interviewing 'em soon!

Its a ridiculously good album. Was a bit disappointed he was going to rerecord something instead of bringing out something fresh but its totally worth it.

Young Fathers' album is great.

And I really like MGMT's new album too, wasn't expecting much but it's good.

The new Parquet Courts album is short, sharp and likeable.

I should check some of these out. Im going to see UMO live in July. They are one of the best bands i've seen live. Sex and food gets a 7.5/10 from me. Not as good as Multi-love for me but solid. How did you like Father John Misty's 'God's favorite customer'? I listened to it for the first time a few days ago and it was a very good listen. 'Please don't die', 'Mr. Tillman' and the title track are immediate standout tracks for me but im liking it the more I listen.

Album of the year.
Aye, fair bit of hype around it and I can see why. If I was a 17 year old from the UK this album would be the absolute shit.

It's also kinda interesting that this album comes a couple of months after Parquet Courts' Wide Awake, another excellent socially & politically charged alt/punk album. Maybe this is the upside to a lot of young people feeling pissed off about the way their various countries are going?

Recommend me some new music people. My problem is that I'm fanatical about the stuff I like but I'm simultaneously turned off by too many things/too darn picky.

I don't fancy punk rock/grunge, metal, rap, nearly all hip hop (other than the likes of Black Messiah, Anderson Paak ) or electronic.

New Villagers record out this Friday. Here's the first single from it:

Matt Maltese's debut album this year was/is a delight:

Mattiel's debut is also unreal:

Delorentos' 5th album is their best yet:

Superorganism are total wankers, but brilliant wankers:

Parcels' debut is out later this month. For fans of Chic/Daft Punk:

St. Paul & The Broken Bones' new one is full of soulful belters:

Stella Donnelly has a voice to die for. Super lyricist too:

Wyvern Lingo are one of the best Irish acts around right now:

whenyoung are easy breezy indie pop:

Much more where that came from. Tell me what's shit/good.

I honestly still like their debut better. Maybe something with the writing. Although it has been growing a bit on me.

Hmmm, so keeping quite indie then?

Maybe Mitski's album if you haven't heard it:

Or RBCF:

Or Tomberlin:

Or U.S Girls:
