I'm watching a film with the missus tomorrow while the Egypt-Uruguay game is on - shame.
Managed to convince her to watch the Spain Portugal game with me though.

I am in the train during that time, cant watch it. I read that a 90min game on 4g eats up between 1-1.5gb, thats far too much for that game. So i either skip the Uruguay game or this one, i prefer to watch Uruguay

Miss the first two but I look forward to watching Spain - Portugal. Would've comfortably backed Spain previously, but with what just happened manager-wise I have no idea what the result will be.

Think Egypt-Uruguay might be most interesting of the three as Iran are pretty defensive team.

Portugal-Spain looks brilliant on paper but this tends to be a 1-0 game in major tournaments. Be interested if Portugal actually have a go at Spain to test their mentality with all that's happened in last 48 hours or will they just sit back.

Edit: Portugal are actually 11/4 to win. Might have a nibble on that as they're a very hard team to break down if they nick the first goal as we saw at last euros in the knock outs.

Think I'll watch two and skip Iran vs Morocco. Unless someone can provide reasons why that match will produce great entertainment...

Yep. My money will be on under 2.5 goals in Por vs Spa.

Will Salah be playing?

Shouldn't we have individual threads for each match? I'm sure it was like that for past tournaments in the past. No one is watching Iran v Morocco.

Both teams will be fighting hard for the win, whoever loses will pretty much be last in the group.

Will wake up at 5 for Uruguay-Egypt watch in bed, then head to work watch Iran-Morocco on my computer (whilst working hard of course) and then off to Fat Burger for Spain-Portugal at 11.

I think Spain and Portugal will be a cagey affair so possibly a draw. That would be decent for both sides IMO.

Morocco have plenty of players the casual football watcher will have seen/heard of.

Mehdi Benatia
Romain Saiss
Archaf Hakimi
Younes Belhanda
Karim El Ahamdi
Nordin Amrabat

Issue here will be Iran will be pretty defensively so will have to see if Morocco have enough about them to break through early.

Morocco have a technically gifted attack: Harit, Boussoufa, Belhanda, Ziyech

While Iran have Azmoun who is supposedly a very interesting striker and Jahanbahajakasflasf who is Eredivisie's topscorer.

Ye they have plenty good players. Have gone undefeated for quite a while now. Ziyech clearly the star but Belhanda is in good form. Azmoun the man to watch for Iran i guess.

I remember Iran vs Argentina from last world cup when they kept toppling the tiny Argies. They are a physical team, like your average bottom table premier league side.

All 3 matches are interesting tomorrow. Ronaldo vs Ramos the pick of the lot, ofc.

Haha I'm kidding that's fair enough. Il watch far less games for similar reasons.

My stupid work place have a strict policy where the game can't be shown on the office TVs. It's only shown in the kitchen for lunch breaks FFS

What is the predicted Portugal line up?
Patricio
Cedric-Pepe-Fonte-Guerreiro
William
Moutinho-J.Mario
Bernardo Silva
Guedes-Ronaldo

Something like this.

A win would be incredible and would see us pretty much qualify, a draw would be fantastic and even a 1 goal loss wouldn't be that terrible. If we lose by a few goals then I don't see us making it out of the groupstages as we'd probably need 6 points out of the other 2 games. What's the best possible result in Morocco-Iran from a portuguese perspective? 0-0 draw?

What a pain to predict these results. Spain should get a win over Portugal on paper but the drama surrounding the coach situation might cost them? Morocco in great form and should have the better players but feeling it will be close. Can't see Egypt getting anything against Uruguay, with our without in-form Salah.

Will be a good day though, no work with football from 3pm to 11pm

Day threads sound good to me - for planning purposes and as the times don't overlap I don't see why not. Is there a disadvantage?
Disadvantage would be that post match discussion for the earlier matches that day get lost or mixed up with the next match. Or it might not happen as much in general.

I reckon we'll have a good trip of games, I'm going to a BBQ/pissup for it but will sadly miss the first game.

I'm going...

Egypt 0 - 2 Uruguay
Morocco 2 - 1 Iran
Portugal 1 - 2 Spain (Ramos, late headed winner, putting a fiver on it)

I agree, I think it will be a bit of a mess. Should have one thread for each game. As for organizaion just number the threads according to match (i.e., match 2: Iran - Morocco).

Get on Portugal to win lads it's a banker ! Nailed on with all of Spain's woes the past 48 hours their heads will be in bits !

Can't see 11/4 for Portugal staying that very generous price for long.

Ronaldo will be well up for
