Bielsa in that volatile environment is a recipe for disaster. Its like chucking a molotov cocktail into a housefire.

Despite his recent lack of success, I still think he could do better than mid-table Championship team. High risk high reward appointment for Leeds, but still kudos to them - wouldn’t expect Bielsa to take their offer. They’re in for entertainment, that’s for sure.

Isn't he the one who knocked United out of the Europa League under Sir Alex?

Didn't realise he'd fell so far

Great manager, awful club.

Don't know how long it'll last with the way he likes to play football. Over a 46 game season his team will be run into the ground by the midway point.

I know Leeds is far from popular here but I somehow like Bielsa (no clue why). Hope he does well.

it basically means the promotion and push for the cup places next season or straight relegation/ sack by the 10th round. Let's see and as much as we all hate Leeds I think it would be fun to play them few times per year

He is brilliant or a disaster. I think Bielsa is brilliant and i like him. If it works, it is usually wonderful. Him being a nutter, doesnt last long normally at clubs, but it should be fun either way

I wonder what will be the reaction by those so calm and moderate fans they have when they have to deal with Bielsa's lets say out of the box methods.

Read a story online there about him turning up at a 13 year old Mauricio Pochettino’s house late at night when he was in bed and spoke with his parents about looking to see him. The parents brought him up to the room, Bielsa studied Pochettino’s legs while he was still asleep and signed him because they were the legs of a footballer. Mental

Surely the biggest coup by a Championship team for a long time.

The only trouble is will probably won't be around to see the project out.

are leeds still broke or will they actually be able to support this project financially?

Pochettino bases his philosophy and style on Bielsa, so Bielsa isn't all about money he will look to the youth that Leeds has and try to develop it.

Hopefully it goes the same way it did with Lille, only Leeds going down in the end.

Strange move from Bielsa. I think he could be sensational at a top club, would love him here

His last two clubs, he walked out of Lazio after 5 days and then guided Lille to relegation zone so his stock is lower than say 2015 when he quit Marseille after a good season.

Needs to get off a good start to the season otherwise with his character it could be a shortlived role.

Why hasn't he been offered any real big jobs in his career if he's so highly rated amongst other managers? Athletic Bilbao completely dominated us home and away in 2012 and I was very impressed then but is the style of football too demanding perhaps?

His Bilbao team were wonderful to watch but that seems to be his only real success and that was eight years ago.

Leeds are a powder keg because of their ridiculous owner and they've always been terribly run anyway.

It's gonna end in disaster but part of me wants to see Bielsa do well and part of me wants Leeds back in the Prem, even if they are dirty Leeds bastards.

Yeah, most of players cannot take it. But when they do, they're capable of everything.Like Athletic, or Marseille who showed great football. Bielsa also changed Chile forever, he changed their game and their mentality, he is a God, a myth in our neighbour country.

He has probably rejected many big offers, as he puts a lot of conditions and he is probably the most honest man in football and doesn't tollerate lies or disagreements.
