This reminds me of back in 2004 after just winning the CL with Porto he was the commentator on portuguese TV for Portugal-Spain in the Euros group stages and it was the best commentating I've ever seen. He likes coaching too much and it would be a waste but I like pundit Mourinho.

Sad when people associate controversy with exciting. It's what gives us the likes of Souness.
It's the info they give you want.

Did Mourinho say anything controversial?

Best punditry there is, could listen to the man for ages. Hopefully he does this more often and other top class coaches will follow.

But Jose should never ever defend a player!! He does things wrong! just like with Martial especially!!!

Wtf is this, his persona in WC is a different one. He's a manager who is gloomy and talks shit all the time. He's past it, sack him before the season starts, He's pretending.

Everything is his fault, in the land of make believe.

Absolutely love the guy. Outside of his United manger persona he offers such a likable character, one with actual knowledge about the game also.

Mourinho of course loved it, thats how he would like United to play against the big boys too. Compact and tight

He's not bad. I'm just a little confused why he's spending the summer working for one of Putin's propaganda channels instead of taking a month off.

"I would save the same as Caballero"

Man, I want to dislike the guy based on his team's playing styles and his managerial decisions. The truth is, he is so eloquent and funny when he's not in a post-match interview after a loss.

If I was his player, I would run through a brick wall for him. I know many say he is not great at handling young talents, but if you were someone like McTominay, under the radar, working hard, just pushed onto the big stage and needing guidance on how to act in your first steps in a big team, Jose sounds like a perfect fit. Look at how Varane turned out, one hell of a CB and no prima donna behaviour.

It's interesting to hear him talk, he's all about the defence. Quite a unique point of view and really insightful, he also speaks really really well, as he usually does when he's not raging.

Thought the part on the Ronaldo free and how he wouldn't have given it was really interesting.

He's only covering the first week. And earning £1m+ in the process.

Would prefer if he'd chosen to spend the summer resting, and studying how to play the sort of football that is befitting the club he is currently managing.

Well, I think a World Cup is a pretty good place to pick up some new ideas.

Oh come on, most managers are on holiday right now. He has to have a life outside of United and apparently he's only there until next week.

You’re right. God forbid a guy go to watch his country play in the World Cup.
Whilst been paid a fortune to do so, flipping hero, nice to see all his co mangers there doing the same..

I will admit that I am biased though, I just don't like him.
