Very unlikable guy. Incredible season but glad he got exposed tonight.
This.I think Pep needs to be given way more respect on this forum. So far in this world cup we've seen Otamendi, Sterling, Jesus and even fernandinho have poor performances and not look as good outside of his tactics. The leagues YPOTY Sane was even left at home by Germany.
Otamendi is a terrible defender. Without Pep he would be no different to Mustafi IMO.
If Baldy was given more respect on this forum we'd all go blind from having shite in our eyes.I think Pep needs to be given way more respect on this forum. It’s 2 games. Christ there’s literally no way you should be sucking peps sack over that.I think Pep needs to be given way more respect on this forum. He was very good at Valencia to be fair.System protects him at Man. City. He gambles too much on flying in and just nicking the ball.
Didn't think he was all that at Valencia alongside Mustafi who's certainly been exposed at Arsenal.
Was he still there during the Neville season when their defence was a total car crash? Mustafi certainly was.He was very good at Valencia to be fair.
How about before Pep, though. Those players weren't anywhere near as good. Otamendi was pretty poor, and Sterling looked a poor buy. It’s 2 games. Christ there’s literally no way you should be sucking peps sack over that.
Nah he'd left a while before Neville's ill-fated tenure. Was he still there during the Neville season when their defence was a total car crash? Mustafi certainly was.
Just never convinces me at the very top level when tested. Last season plenty of teams barely even attempted to attack Man. City so can look very comfortable in that situation.

Awful person more like.Awful defender.
Pep not given respect? You clearly haven’t been reading this forum.I think Pep needs to be given way more respect on this forum. Way more respect for Pep? You may as well call it PepCafe then.I think Pep needs to be given way more respect on this forum. Not sure what your point is?What do you do when Otamendi is your best ball playing centreback?
He is making excuses for Messi's rubbish performances. Not sure what your point is?
Well, it's not only a #10 stealing the ball away from a CB being the last man, which should be the last thing you want happening and shows an alarming lack of faith imo.Not sure what your point is?

Why are you rambling on about Messi on a thread about Otamendi? You don't want Messi to be blamed for all of Argentina's troubles and you keep dragging Messi into everything by turning a thread about making fun of Otamendi into some sort of a ballad of Messi's awesomeness.Well, it's not only a #10 stealing the ball away from a CB being the last man, which should be the last thing you want happening and shows an alarming lack of faith imo.
It's bad because we have this

And tonight, we have this
https://www.bbc.com/sport/football/44567336
And another asking: "Why can't you get your players to pass the ball to Lionel Messi?"
"Messi is our captain, he leads the team and we quite simply couldn't pass to him to help him generate the situations he is used to. We worked to give him the ball but the opponent also worked hard to prevent him from getting the ball."
So, what happens with Otamendi, is City's system of lateral passes between CB's dumbed down so any decent player could thrive, or is Sampaoli destroying the confidence of his players until they're unable to play the football they're known for?.
Spot on. The agenda is strong with his postWhy are you rambling on about Messi on a thread about Otamendi?
