Hopefully this has no connection with Salisbury whatsoever. Hopefully something accidental.

What are the chances of them stumbling upon residues of the Skripal attack?

Welcome to Manchester reception committee
This is so scary. Could it have been a remnant of the previous attack?

That's the working assumption of the police etc I think. It's been suggested that the couple came across whatever container was originally used in the attack - probably disguised as something innocent looking. Maybe even something nice looking like a perfume atomiser.

Unless the man wakes up and can tell them more, it's hard for them to identify the object or to know exactly where the couple went having touched it.

Offcourse it is. They study biological warfare and research "threats" which is a way of avoiding the "we make them". How else can they study them ?

Edit: Oh and who do you think sold chemical weapons to Sadam Husseine?
Its freaky that the Geneva convention bans use of chemical weapons but not manufacturing them.

it does melt the mind. "you can make them but make sure you don't get found out using them erm.. I mean don't use them... Much". Also one has to ask why they sell them if not for use?

absolutely vile and mental the world we live in. I don't want to depress you but there are organisations that are developing biological weapons that target specific genes and by extension ethnicities. There are groups of evil fecking cnuts that are advocating for it so knowing history I would not bet against them developing it.

That was the plot for Metal Gear Solid V but working in genetics I know that's nowhere near possible as of now. We can't even replicate genetic risk calculations from European ethnicities to Africans or Asians.

Yes thankfully. But the scary thing is people are trying and let us not forget that all these vile weapons were also theory before we found out about them after them being used on people be it war or otherwise.

Maybe because not all countries have signed the Geneva Convention and following protocols, so these countries can theoretically develop, manufacture and use whatever they want. They can also choose to ignore these International rules if they wish.

There are restrictions on how much you can “manufacture” but research facilities have to manufacture small amounts in order to be able to test them for protective gear, antidotes and such. If they didn’t do that then all the countries who had signed the GC would be extremely vulnerable to attacks from any country which hadn’t signed, or any country who chose to ignore the rules of the treaty.

Saddam produced his own chemical weapons.
The US and British during the Reagan administration facilitated by Donald Rumsfeld and Tariq Aziz after meetings with Sadam. They sold him that shite to him and helped him make more in order to try and win the war against Iran. This came to light after the state department declassified thousands of documents on the 1980-88 Iran-iraq war under the FOIA.

The same happened in Libya with Gaddafi.

It is common knowledge in this space, plenty of news channels went over this during the time. but here are just a few:

Uk built a secret chemical warfare plant called "Fallaja 2".

https://www.theguardian.com/politics/2003/mar/06/uk.iraq
https://www.theguardian.com/world/2002/dec/31/iraq.politics
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-153210/Rumsfeld-helped-Iraq-chemical-weapons.html
https://foreignpolicy.com/2013/08/2...rove-america-helped-saddam-as-he-gassed-iran/

Sadam could not produce the stuff because he could not get hold of a load of key "ingredients". Which is where the US and UK came in. Always willing to help these good guys...

Also, there is an interview you can watch of Gregory Ford working for the CIA who confirmed the weapons were from the US as he inspected their facilities. Not that we needed this guy to confirm it but anyway.

All the main Western countries manufacture and maintain stockpiles of various chemical and biological warfare agents, the US and Russia especially. It's more for research than anything else but if push ever came to shove who knows.
