It's no secret that we've not been able to make that mahe'ny signings this summer and with less than a week left till the close of the window and start of the season, we might find ourselves short of in-form players to kick start our season.

Matic and Valencia won't probably start
Pogba has not been back in training
Lukaku, Rashford, Jones and Lindelof just got back

Pereira and Fred seem to be the only positives that we can take from the preseason

We've been struggling to strengthen.

Reasons been offered for our struggles have been the following
1. World Cup
2. Shortened transfer window
3. Glazers/ Ed not offering financial backing
4. Not able to move out the deadwood
5. Style of Play
6. United being held to ransom

But.... what if

7. Players just don't want to play under Mourinho especially since his behavior has been abysmal towards other players, fans and so on. Players look at Martial and how he's treated. It's evident Pogba does NOT get along with Mourinho and probably wants out.

We keep saying Woodward isn't doing those deals but could it just be that players do not want to be part of the toxic atmosphere that's being created at the club and the dressing room?

Your thoughts?

This is getting beyond parody now. Might as well open up a Mourinho-specfic subforum just to keep all this rubbish off the front page.

If I was a soccer player I would not play under Mourinho. Guys like Klopp, Simeone, Zidan (if he is active), would me my first choice. I'd dread to play under Moaninho. It appears to me that many fans forgot what an unlikable character this guy was when he was coaching Chelsea. I guess in Inter and Real he wasn't as unlikable because we didn't have to deal with him a lot.

feck off with anti mourinho threads. Your opinion is not so new or important that it requires it's own thread. Go annoy people on your facebook timeline instead.

Have you ever watched Atletico? Simeone is very much Mourinho-like, if not a more extreme version, just more animated on the sidelines and doesn't always sulk, but his style of football is certainly harder to watch.

Another negative Mourinho thread.
The problem is that these types of threads and posters in other threads of this ilk are so numerous it becomes almost impossible to talk about anything else or avoid. Then you get moaned at for “moaning at then moaners”. Well if that’s all there is why should we not respond?

Their the first to cry “oh, so we are not allowed an opinion??” but when you counter with your opinion they say you can’t have one???

Wtf is this?

I have watched Atletico and they are certainly more entertaining than us. Again that is my opinion. They actually attack even stronger sides than them. We don't even press properly or attack weaker sides.

Setting the toxic atmosphere as a fact then we have to discuss its effects on buying players.

Bravo, sir, bravo.

Thread whining needs to be clamped down on here.

It doesn't allow for any form of discussion.

So far this thread has been nothing but thread whining without the OP's points being discussed.

Do you want to play for Mourinho? Depends, are you a serial psychopathic winner? Do you have the ability to flush emotion down the toilet? If you answer no to either of these questions, you’re most likely a Martial or Shaw. If you answered yes, you’re most likely a Lukaku, Mata, Herrera, Pogba, Sanchez, Matic, Baily, Young, Valencia.

Says nothing about Mourinho and more about players mentality. Ridiculous thread.

Discuss what ? It was a few months ago when Sanchez preferred us to City. Pep himself admitted it today when discussing Jorginho deal failure :

Its hard enough for Americans to be taken seriously in football forums without shite like this, do yourself a favour and delete this thread.

There are even players who would want to play under the likes of Moyes, why would players not want to play under Mourinho who actually wins things?

I think very little players actually read the press and their fake stories and either through agents or other pro's probably hear stuff to the contrary on Mourinho and actually want to play for him and especially Manchester United. I think we are one most top level players top 3 or 4 choices.

People believe what they want to believe and are easily duped and that explains a lot of fans feelings towards Mourinho and say Pep or Klopp.

I think our struggles in the market come down to a few things : -

Mourinho and the board are actually happy with the squad and the talent at our disposal. Happy with the development of players and have faith in the levels of Lukaku (who was excellent but improving all the time), Pogba, Sanchez (getting back to normal form) etc; raising this season. I remember when we only added Carrick to our league cup winning, distant 2nd placed 2006 team and nobody thought we'd come close to stopping Chelsea's 3rd straight title. Sometimes things can take a little while to settle and the players are under your noses and developing.

There's limited value in the market

Our long term targets aren't quite ready/Jose and the board wants to see more

We don't want to buy just for the sake of buying. I guess this links into the limited value and targets not being ready. Maybe we have a left-back in mind and a right winger but don't feel it's worth splashing 60-80m on someone who we aren't entirely confident in. You've then got the same problem next summer.

These are all possible and IMO more likely than the "nobody wants to play for Jose" angle. I'm probably more right on the basis I am not a gullible shit stirrer and tend to not doubt professionals that much.

Considering how much money they get, they are all free to feck off. And I'm not even so fond of Mourinho.

You would thought he is managing a prison, not a football club by some here.

I am so full of hope that United do amazingly well this season, just so that all these moaners will eat their words or go and find something else to moan about.
It can’t be healthy to have so much negativity.
