PSG are so good. People scoffed when they were beaten by Real in the Champions League but who wasn't?

That said, I hope one of Monaco, Lyon and Marseille (or others) come closer this season. Perhaps win Ligue 1 while PSG win the CL.

Naim Sliti to have an amazing season. Hopefully... His play style is the spits of Alexis.

It will be interesting to see how Golovin does at Monaco, i think that was a better move than Chelsea for him, but Russian players have a terrible record of doing well in France. My friend and i were discussing it a few days ago and could only think of Mostovoi and maybe an old Vagiz Khidiyatullin at Toulouse that didn't flop.

They're a good team .. but losing 6-2 to Madrid on aggregate was poor. With the money they've spent they should have at least made it a contest, Madrid breezed through. Bayern and Juventus made them sweat far more.

I just can’t stand PSG. They remind me of those cheat games you’d play on Championship Manager, back in the day, where you’d load your local club up with unlimited money and sign all the best players in the world, and eviscerate all your crappy opponents. Inevitably you’d get bored of it and load up a new game after a season or two. I hope their computer crashes half way through the season, and they forgot to save the game.

To be honest, this season the SPL, the Premier League and the Bundesliga all have just as predictable winners.
You forgot Serie A.

Ronaldo AND Dybala in one team is just cheating.

Last year PSG won with 93 points, with Monaco, Lyon and Marseille on 80, 78 and 77 respectively. Which isn't much less competitive at the top end than the Premier League behind Manchester City.

PSG should win again but there are teams to push them. I quite hope Giroud joins Marseille.

PSG tailed off at the end after winning the league. I watched a few of their later games and they had some rotated teams because they guaranteed the title early. City on the other hand kept going to win every single game and didn't rest after securing it.

Title wasn't competitive at all.. PSG had it won extremely early and it was never in doubt.

Just as Marseille started looking good again, they are close to being banned from the UEFA competitions.

Also they lost 5-2 to Bournemouth in a friendly yesterday.

I can't see any team beating PSG to the title. Lyon were too inconsistent last season and I guess they will be again this season. Monaco have lost many first-teamers. Marseille have not really improved on their squad.

A few things to look forward to though:
- Seeing Buffon play for PSG. hopefully I will get to see him when PSG come to Amiens, Lille or Reims.
- Viera's first real test as a coach with Nice
- Hopefully Saint-Etienne can push for a European place as they have strengthen with M'Villa, Cabella and Debuchy
- Seeing how Golovin develops in Monaco
- not so many defensive managers

I know exactly why.
He wears a PSG shirt
No. More about his idiotic comments when they lost to Real Madrid in the CL. It gave me another aspect of the supposedly "classy" man. There are many players I like in PSG (Meunier, Verratti, Mbappe, Lass even if he doesn't play, Cavani of course). So the shirt has feck all to do with it :)

So, Ligue 1, who's favourite in the race for finishing second? Marseille, Monaco or Lyon?

Lyon have a settled team and they can always rely on their academy products. I think they will finish second.
Monaco have lost key players in Lemar and Fabinho, though they were underwehlming last season.
Marseille came short last season because of their Europa League run so I'm curious to see if they will try to go far in that competition this year. And offensively they rely a lot on Thauvin.

Vieria lost his first game as manager in european football, 1-0 at home to Reims.

Have to say Nice looked really poor going forward. Not sure who will score for them this season with Plea gone and Balotelli effectively on strike.

Leonardo Jardim keeps getting fecked by his own board. Every season he looses 3/4 key players. No manager would take this MOnaco for so many time with this kind of self-destructive transfer policy.

Guingamp should've gone 2 up after 30 minutes, VAR disallowed what I thought was a good goal.

PSG weren't great but it's still a mix and match side with likes of Cavani and Mbappe not starting today.

Lyon leading with 2:0 against Strasbourg. Memphis with the assist and Traore with the cool finish.

@Damien, sticky the thread perhaps?
