Cool as a cucumber! Should get plenty of game time this season, based on that display.

Looking forward to see more of him.

Very good mature performance from him. He complemented Fred and Pogba really well today. Needs to improve his tackling but that will come with more game time surely. Hopefully he continues even when Matic and Herrera are back from their injuries.

Very good player. His composure is so good, his game in tight spaces and passing is very good.

Dont think he put a foot wrong and very unlucky to get yellow.

He'll be on the bench, as soon as Matic is ready, no matter what kind of unwordly performance he puts in.
Sadly this is probably what will happen. Likewise Shaw when Young is ready.

You really hope it won't be so, but deep down we all know it is true.

Hopefully not but yeah, wouldn't be the most surprising thing in the world.

His long range passing is excellent. Did very well physically. I'd love to see him ahead of a DM and behind Pogba.

Was hitting them Carrick switches. He’s taken to the deep laying playmaker role. All that stuff he talked about working with Mou and Carra on, moving the ball forward early, was on display.

Editing my own posts.
I’ve always said he looks like a footballer.

Or at the very least someone playing a footballer in a high end show about footballers.

Very encouraging, especially on the ball. I'd like to see some evidence of him being a real cnut before Matic comes back to think that no 6 is his long term position.

Matic has played a ton of football the last few years and is 30. Wouldn't be a bad idea to give him 8-10 more games off than last year (49 for us, about 10 for Serbia), though, just to maximize his performance and not run him into the ground.

Not sure if he was responsible for marking Madison in the first half, otherwise a brilliant performance from him, very calm on the ball.

Hopefully he plays against smaller sides at home when we don't need two deep midfielders with Fred in there as well.
He reminds me of breakthrough Cleverly which could go either way

Good start from Pereira. Excited to see how he will grow as a player this season. Mourinho was pleased with his performance, so i'm expecting to see a lot more of him this season.

If he keeps that level of performance up he'll be right up there fighting with Fred for a place in the XI

When Matic is fit I would like to see him instead of Mata and when Matic needs a rest revert to a number 6. He is a very good and intelligent player

Really want to see more of him now. There will be easier teams to face than Leicester in the league and he can shine even more to build his confidence.

Very good game imo. Impressed by him. Looked very much in control, and didn’t get into trouble once of his own accord as far as I could see.

Feel so proud of our academy player getting games and look one of the best players on the pitch, I couldn't ask for better. Eye-watering*

He has impressed me so much. His talent has been clear to see, but a few years ago he had this tendency to get lost during matches because he struggled to keep up with the rhythm of the game. Now he looks like a player who might soon be capable of controlling the midfield and setting the tempo himself. It really is amazing progression and it makes me so happy. Still a way to go, but i didn't think he had some shit like in this fantastic performance in him.

My MOTM, went under the radar due to Pogba, Bailly, Shaw and Fred surprising everyone by not sucking:lol:

The loan has been great for him. He looks so mature. I remenber Carrick at Spurs af the same age and he looks as good.

I'm a fan (again).

I was impressed with the defensive part of his game.

Where are all the mardy sorts who kept trying to tell us his loan was a failure and Valencia picking him in wide positions must mean he couldn't hack it in midfield?
