One question fellow Reds, what is the general feeling for the situation when Pep claimed Mino offered Pogba to them, and probably to other clubs back in January/February? Do you think that Mino acted without accord from Pogba? I think the writing was on the wall, we just turned our backs to it.
Id say Pogba is quite happy with Mino, he is a big boy if he wasn't he should be saying something because he isn't coming out of this looking that great TBH.

Mino works for Pogba not the other way around. Mino's seemingly offered Pogba to half of Europe. That cannot have been without Pogba's knowledge or consent.

Exactly, and whether some on here like it or not, his reputation suffers, as it should.

Raiola probably touted him from day 1. The slightest but of disgruntlement will have been hyped up by him to get Pogba unsettled. If/when he moves, he'll do it again. Pogba doesn't seem to get this guys chief concern is not his career but creating as many big transfers as he can during that career. If he doesn't get rid of him soon he will never live up to his potential as a player.

just to clarify, even though the british transfer window is closed can barca still do a player plus cash offer with us if pogba does want out before the the end of the month?
I'm pretty sure we couldn't register the player till Jan. Otherwise it'd be east to circumvent the rules. E.g. swap Perisic with some child in the kids team plus a load of dosh!

It’s fantastic to watch a group of people be so manipulated by absolute garbage in the media with no substance. For some reason, people have cottoned on to the fact that unsubstantiated nonsense will get written about Sterling, but are struggling to look for substance with anything to do with Pogba. Pogba is a young, black star and so will go through the same ritual. He gets a lot of clicks internationally to boot too. If there isn’t any material out there on Pogba, someone will invent some. A lot of the ex-players surrounding our club should be ashamed. They are contributing as much as anyone to this. Tell Pogba he’s not focussed and doesn’t care about United enough, and what do you know? It might become true eventually.

I had a conversation at work with somebody on Monday who told me that Pogba is always out and never focussed on United. I asked how she knew this. He’s pretty much never seen out, certainly not drinking and partying. The press would have a field day with that, but they can’t because there’s nothing there. Instead they generate clickbait and get rent-a-quotes to spin something.

Everything I understand about Pogba suggests he views Manchester as much as his home as anywhere else. Two of his closest friends play for the club. He didn’t leave United because he didn’t want to play here. He left because Ferguson was letting a personal grudge block Pogba’s development and we had the absurdity of a Park-Rafael midfield two to demonstrate this. Ferguson was a great manager, but he was to an extent failing to adapt to the shifts in power in the modern transfer market. He was happy to come back, especially with the commitment United were willing to make to bring him back.

Nobody has looked especially happy with the football at United in 2018. It’s not as if Pogba is the obvious weak link in a well-oiled, happy, footballing machine. The team’s struggling and by the team, I mean the entire team. Don’t make the mistake of thinking the way to fix this is by culling the most talented member of your squad. If Pogba leaves he has choice of clubs to move to. Bayern are Bayern, but Madrid, Barcelona, PSG, Juventus and the Milan clubs would bite your hand off for him.

When Pogba publicly agitates for a move or he’s the guy holding us back, let me know. Until then, stop pretending that the only way to be a professional footballer for Manchester United is to be a lad from Oldham, who is so introverted that he’s shy in front of his own mother and who’d struggle to spend any length of time out of the North West, let alone England. For feck’s sake, our greatest player was Ryan Giggs who, whilst doing yoga to extend his career, was also hanging out of the back of anything that moved.
Finally some sense. How do people know he is desperate to move? He just captained the team the other day and talked about how proud it was to follow other legends. He isn't holding us back on the pitch so why the desperation to see the back of him? We have team issues with or without Pogba and those issues need to be solved.

He stayed at juve for a few years. I think it's more to do with not getting on with mourinho and the fact were not going to win the big trophies anytime soon why he wants to get out

It's his ego.

When he joined Juve he was a kid. He worked very hard to make a name for himself and make his star rises. The move to a big club for a giga load of money becoming the most expensive player made his ego grew larger and larger and he considered himself the ultimate show star. Whenever he concentrates he plays well, but when he enters this mood of the main man he starts the shite show in midfield.

In France he's surrounded by players in the same or even bigger profile than him so he plays simple and be a part of the time. Here he's hailed as the best in the team and the main man. He's overall an immature kid with intense talent.

In Barca he'll be in the shadow of Messi so properly will perform better than here.

For a couple of years. Then when Messi gets old and the pressure increases Raiola will start creating issues again so he can get another transfer fee.

Just get rid of him. Player not wanting to work for the team and giving substandard performances because he is not interested should not be playing for Man Utd. It's one thing when your passes are not connecting but failing to do basic things like tracking your player, cover your area, winning your tackles and then he gives up easily and stops with his hands on hips or up in the air while his opponent goes past him drives me mad. Do you think Keane would have let him get away with this bullshit. He's behaving like a spoilt primadonna and can leave and it would be good to get rid of the other primadonna in charge also. Two of them behaving like they are is not right when you consider most of the football world would like to be in their shoes.

This is pretty much my opinion as well. After the Leceister game I thought we were seeing a player who had something to prove. A player who was going to take the captaincy by the scruff of the neck and prove what an invaluable player we had. Then came Brighton and I think we saw the Pogba we are used to seeing. I don’t think the premier league is suited to him. He doesn’t get enough time on the ball that he would in Italy or Spain. When he does have time he generally does something useful but those times seem to too infrequent. His stock will never be higher than it is now, get a good offer for him and let him go.

His performances during the WC were overrated to make us look bad. It was nothin
It certainly wasn't overrated to make us look bad, but he also wasn't that great as people make it out. Varane, Kante and Mbappe were all better than him imo, Griezmann around the same level.

He had occasional moments of brilliance we know he is capable of and massively benefited from Mbappe pace and good runs. But, didn't really have a game where he dominated and grabbed control of the midfield.

Next time try watching without a blindfold.
It was overrated. He did very well in what, 4 out of 7 matches and people have overly praised him for it.

They go out and point to his World Cup as proof that he can be a big player when that basically a one month tournament. In no way is it comparable to carrying consistency over the course of one season.

Yes, I didn't say he was bad but he wasn't even the best MF in the team. He had some good matches but in some matches he just sent a ball to probably the fastest player in the planet and he was praised for that.... He was exactly the same Pogba we saw last year, he was bad during the group stages, had some good games in knock-outs and a good second half during the final.

Bench the fecker in our next game and play Matic-Fred-Pereira away to Burnley. The transfer window will already have shut and he has to decide whether he wants to get into this team or cry in the stands until Mourinho is sacked.

Feet up at home.
From everything I've seen in the red shirt get 200m for him and replace him with 3 class players.

He doesn't deserve to be in the side based on performance.

Unfortunately, 200 mill doesn't necessarily guarantee you 3 class players anymore. With current inflation, a world class midfielder doesn't cost less that 75, 80 mill, unless he's past 30 or has injury history.

Having said that, I'd be on the phone to Milinkovic Savic agent plus Lazio and would make sure to tie him down to a guarantee that we would match any offer for him. Him and a player like Kanté would be a revolution for the team.
