It’s pretty disgusting how many footballers have been guilty of this and get away with it.

Naughty boy indeed! No laughing matter - anyone who does stupid things to endanger lives of others through their carelessness deserves punishment.

Anyway, in footballing terms - what does this mean for the Spurs game? Is he likely to miss out? And if so, is their back-up any good?

It's even more ming boggling when you take into consideration that those feckers are paid what they are paid and surely can afford a fecking taxi.

Hope he lands in the same ГУЛаг as Salah.

Is this as big a deal in Europe as it is in the states for athletes? For an American athlete, this would be a fine and a public apology and move on to the game.

Is it custom for PL players to party until the middle of the night, in the middle of the week?

That’ll go straight into Levy’s little black book of things to use against players during contract negotiations, simply titled ‘Levyrage’

Heh, he probably has a black-book of fetishes, rages and deviances of everyone before he signs them.

Poch will be fuming. It was on a training day as well.

I can see him getting stripped of the captaincy.

What exactly do you mean he got away with it? He was caught! And without knowing his alcohol level, let’s not immediately jump to the conclusion that drinking 2-3 beers will severely put lives in danger. If he was smashed, then feck him, but do we know that?

Wow
In France, he has the image of a "nice guy", that's why they gave him the armband after 2010 lmao

A shame, he's highly mistake prone, not at all as good as people would have you think and I'd much rather he been in the mix against us than their backup who surely can't be much worse.

I look forward to Glaston explaining why this is actually a good thing.
He was delivering concrete to the new stadium and testing Spurs's late batches of Casillero Del Espuelas.

Was clearly drunk in the WC final, as well.

Any chance that he won't start against us because of this?

Well there's a reason the limit for pilots is four times stricter than for drink driving. The drink driving limit in the UK is one of the most relaxed in the world.

Never understood why players on massive wages drink and drive. Just get a £5-10 tax ffs..

Which is worse:
A. Taxi driver telling his friends he dropped Lloris home and he was bollocked drunk (which no one would believe)
B. Being caught drink driving, named and shamed / risk ban.

Idiot..

I don't know what is wrong with these footballers it's like they have no common sense.
