The last round of qualifiers kick off tonight with England, Wales and Scotland all within reach of the finals next summer in France.

Scotland need to win by 2 clear goals to overtake Switzerland at the top of their group.

Wales lead England by a point at the top of their group and a win tomorrow will guarantee them a place in France. England have a game in hand though so any other result will suit them.

There is also republic or Ireland V Northern Ireland but sadly neither team can make the finals unless Norway lose both their remaining qualifiers which is very unlikely.

There is decent United representation as well for those of you that have been following the rebirth of our women's team.

Alex Greenwood is the only representative in the England squad, but Kirsty Smith and Lizzie Arnott are in the Scotland squad.

Thursday:

Russia V Kazakhstan - 4pm
Moldova V Portugal - 5pm
Sweden V Ukraine - 5:45pm
Denmark V Croatia - 6pm.
Scotland V Switzerland - 7:35pm - live on BBC Alba.

Friday:

Czech Republic V Slovenia - 3pm
Belarus V Poland - 3pm
Republic of Ireland V Northern Ireland - 5:30pm
Romania V Belgium - 6pm
Spain V Finland - 6pm
Slovakia V Norway - 7pm
Wales v England - 7:45pm - Live on BBC2.

Yus, was just a way to scour through sky to see if I could see when Scotland ladies were playing. This new found love for the woman’s game is coming in strong. Hanson, Arnot, Smith and I kinda want to see that number 10 that was playing for Liverpool as when she was on the ball she was class.

Thanks for the list.

Edit: Hanson doesn’t look as tho she is in the squad. Just Smith and Arnot.

Smith not make the bench either. Murray I think is the girl who plays for pool who looked a player. Number 16. I don’t know a single person who speaks Gaelic, Probably have to go further west, but I dinna ken a thing eh commentator is saying like.

I've watched most of Scotland's games and always forget the commentary is Gaelic

Yeah, are they any good?
Looks like a very decent turnout as well, my intrest in woman’s football has only really come about with the United woman’s team so still getting to grips with the standard but I’ve been impressed with Arnot, Hanson and Smith so I’m guessing Scotland have a semi decent side.

Edit: notice he keeps saying City so I’m guessing a few must play for them.

Well City and Chelsea are the force in the women's game so their players have a more international flavour.

In terms of Scotland, yeah they're not a bad side at all. They had never qualified for a tournament until the euros in 2017. They are in good shape to make the world cup too (even more so if they can score again) I think you are gaining interest at the right time.

The international teams to beat are USA, Japan and Germany. France too are a very good side and Holland have come from nowhere to have a hell of a team.

Yeah, I used to be dating a girl who played for Aberdeen Uni and I used to go watch some of their games but the standard wasn’t really all that great so I kinda lost a bit of interest in the woman’s game but honestly loving the United woman’s team so far.

Harsh to leave England off that list. Semi-finalists in the last World Cup and Euros and have beaten USA, Germany and France in recent times.

Edit: Seems daft that England might not qualify when their record so far in the group is played 6, won 5, drawn 1, scored 20, conceded 1.

Yeah but I'm a bit concerned about Nevilles leadership. I am really excited for tomorrow's game though

Yeovil ladies are playing their games 10 miles up the road from me and they are the division above us so I'm going to go and watch a few games this season. They have Arsenal up first.

Nice, I did have a look at how long it would take me to drive to Leigh sports village and it was something like 6hrs so I may try and organise a weekend and coincide it with a game.

That wall they built with Murray and some other girl might be the smallest wall I’ve ever seen. Wonder if when Strachan was talking about Scotland not having any height if he was speaking about the ladies team.

Japan have regressed massively from 2015, they aren't a force now. Germany also going through a transitional period, similar to France. USA and Australia probably the two best now. Sam Kerr up top for Oz is genuinely incredible, dribbles and finishes like a man.

USA been so far ahead historically in female infrastructure, everyone else is definitely catching up.

Scotland been very good today. Was very surprised how attacking our manager went, positive attitude for once. our issue in the past has been setting up too negative against the better sides and it's hurt us. Cuthbert, Evans, Little are all good enough to hurt any team and our defence is too poor to invite pressure on.

So close. Hopefully Scotland will still make the playoffs
Think we will, result tonight helps. Points against 5th place side don't count. Will beat Albania by a couple and will have 15 points essentially. If Germany drops points against Iceland the most they can get is 13. If they win, then the most Iceland could have is 10, so guaranteed to go through if we beat Albania.

Think Wales will frustrate England. England look painfully uncreative to me under Neville so far (bar Kirby of course).

Greenwood is getting some joy going forward, but it's looking like hard work.

Wales very well organised and looking dangerous on the break - England have played themselves into trouble a couple of times.

Was that a penalty? :D

Thought it wass a pen at first glance but on replay it was a good decision.

Enjoying the game so far, watching Antigua v Bermuda Women in 90, will be quite a drop in quality so trying to enjoy this.

England will come out fast in the second half. They will move the ball a bit quicker and try and open the floodgates.
