Does it make me a dick that i hope he does not score for ages?

Yeah, I guess it does. I don't even really dislike him but seeing a huge money signing flop is always amusing (unless it's a Chelsea player of course, there's nothing funny about that).
First name that came into my mind when I read that bit was Torres :D

I love seeing big money signings flop too. Just the nature of being a football fan I guess. Watching a big signing flop is just as fun as watching opposition teams lose.

Another good performance, another 3 points. Just needs the first goal and the rest will follow.
From superp to good. Which roughly translates to „from good to average“ for non-Portugal/Real supporters I assume.

Dunno, I can see how it can be very easy to dislike him as an outsider. I didn't like many of his antics either tbh, but he's a legend for us and it would be a bit painful to see him flop. I think it's going to take a bit longer to adapt to his new team after playing for us for so long. But I'm sure once he finds his boots he'll tear it up again. I doubted him last season aswell and was very wrong in the end, so I'm not doing that again.

Oh, but yeah, you're a dick.

I don't think he's been good at all bar that 1st game even disregarding his lack of goals.

He's been plainly average.

He's gone through similar patches with us in the last two seasons, and occasionally in some of the previous ones as well. He's still shooting a lot, the goals will come

As for whether he can keep up the 1:1 ratio, that will depend on much juventus and allegri will pander to him. Juventus rarely do true blowouts.

First game was great, the other two were okay maybe. The goalkeepers and players look very motivated to stop him from scoring.

I never said he was superb though. In fact, I literally wrote the words ‘it wasn’t superb’.

Before trying to dismiss my opinion, you should try to learn how to read first. Still waiting for one comment replying to me here to actually talk about anything I’ve said that’s football related rather than angry comments telling me how biased I am made by even more biased people.

You’re so much against the biased opinions of Portugal/Real fans so I’m sure you have a lot of problems with the biased opinions of pretty much everyone else since there are a whole lot more people wanting Ronaldo to fail than there are people that want him to succeed. In fact, if there’s one athlete in sports history that has that big of a disparity between people wanting him to succeed and people wanting him to fail, it’s Ronaldo. So if there’s been one athlete in football history that’s been constantly downplayed by unfair and biased opinions, it’s Cristiano Ronaldo.

And yes, it was a good performance tonight.

It's crazy how many defenders he takes away and creates room for the likes of Mandzukic.

Another good performance for him. Age doesn't phase him. GOAT.

He still has many mouths to shut apparently. This thread has just turned sad now... Many years of pain will do that, as long as it continues it will only get exponentially worse but Jesus Christ some of you really go overboard.

Jealousy and obsessive hatred isn’t good for the soul.
It is not jealousy. He is fantastic player. Nowhere near messi or maradona but still great player, in top 10 in history. But first of all he is diving prick and egomaniac on the pitch. I can't love that kind of player. And i just can't understand why united fans are obsessed with him and why they like him so much after the way how he left. Modern slave statement and blackmailing fergie are still in my mind. And he got applause when he came with real and now he will get it with juve.

No goals yet just means we’re going to get the circus of people pretending he’s playing poorly and then be surprised when he scores 20 goals in 10 games in the middle of the season while playing exactly the same way. Again.

He’s playing differently than what he did at Madrid and it’s interesting to see him change roles throughout the game. I believe this is a temporary version of what he’ll be in a Juve shirt rather than a permanent solution. Dybala has to play so I’m guessing that things will change throughout the season, wouldn’t be surprised if Allegri went back to playing 3 at the back too so he definitely has plenty to think about.

After a long stop, no signs of a physical decline is the most important thing at his age so hopefully he can keep it up, stay away from any injuries and get his first goal in the next game. Goalscoring aside it’s been a perfect start in a Juventus shirt which is encouraging since Ronaldo not scoring goals is the last thing anyone should worry about.
I hope lying to yourself will make you feel better.

Starts in the last 4 seasons of Cristiano Ronaldo:

- 15/16: 5 goals in the first 7 games, all in one game;
- 16/17: 1 goal in the first 4 games;
- 17/18: 1 goal in the first 8 games, 0 in the first 3;
- 18/19: 0 goals in the first 3 games

If he was still at Real nobody would think this is wierd

That's my line of thinking as well. Just fascinating from a psychological perspective to see him really struggle with the pressure that he's put on himself, for the first time in a long while. I'm certain he'll do well over there, but it will be interesting to see how long it takes him to open those floodgates.
I think he wil be the top scorer

He’s looked worse and worse by the game but to his credit he had the same thing happened last season and turned it out.

However, not having the greatest midfield in the world behind him is going to make this a lot tougher this season.

Mandzukic is the one carrying the team so far, his great state of form from the end of last season and the World Cup has continued and he's the deciding factor in Juve's attack. And no, it's not because of Ronaldo creating spaces, but because Mandzukic is that good, just look at the World Cup, his return leg vs us last season or his goal in the final two years ago. What will be interesting to see is how Dybala is introduced into the team because that could unsettle the balance of the side, especially if a defensive player has to make way for him...

No really, what is your story here? You are winding people up or you are blind or you are just deluded?

I remember people calling him done this time last year as well, I suppose they will eventually get it right and then say I told you so.

Could it be that Ronaldo's only motivated for CL & high-profile matches nowadays?

There were people calling him an average donkey when we were linked with him.

People said he would stuggle but he has gone to Italy and done exactly what he did at Real every year - fail to score for 3 games! Suck it haters our boi is on top again, I bet you feel silly now. Get in, loss can be a win, 5 times, goat, £400m transfer kitty, etcetera.

I thought he had a good game despite not scoring so I was surprised to see the reaction of people on here. The way he's played in the first 3 games in Juve's shirt, he hasn't played like that for Madrid for about 5 years. He was deployed wide left and was running with the ball at speed, attempting take-ons, trying to cut inside to shoot, etc. He maybe tried too hard at times but physically he seems to be in great shape. Juve just can't seem to create very good chances with donkeys like Khedira and Matuidi in midfield while Pjanic sits so deep and is mostly pedestrian. He's gonna have to adapt or change his game up to somehow get goals regularly again.

Not my fault your boy’s a fraud, pal.
Yeah, such a fraud.
-915 games : 658 goals & 208 assists

-scored over 50 goals in 6 consecutive seasons between 2010-11 and 2015-16

-in 2014-15 he scored 61 goals in 54 games

-118 goals in 292 games for Manchester United

-he failed to score in his first 29 Champions League games, then went on to score 120 goals in 121 games

-nobody has scored more La Liga hat-tricks than Ronaldo’s 34, and only Lionel Messi can match his record of eight in a season

-he is level with former Juventino Michel Platini for goals scored at the European Championships on 9 goals

-holds the Portugal record for both caps [152] and goals [85]

-leaves Real Madrid as the club’s all-time top goalscorer [438], all time league goalscorer [301] and all-time European scorer [102]

He's in the right colours. Every think is black and white with Ronaldo. When he's scoring, the "greatest of all time" arguments come out and when he has a poor run of form the overrated bragade turns up. Its so odd. Cant we just say he's obviously incredibly talented and has a lot left in the tank, but also a human and may be coming to the end of his run as a top player?

Gutted we didn’t bring him home. With this form and that price tag, he’d have been absolutely perfect for us in 2018.

A disappointing Ronaldo reunion would have been the shit icing on Ed’s shit cake.
