This is exactly what will happen.I would like a Uruguay-Argentina world cup.
Makes sense to celebrate 100 years of WC where it all began.
Hope so. Europe would miss out, but i would love to go to that WC and visit Argentina/Uruguay, having some roots thereI would like a Uruguay-Argentina world cup.

It'll definitely be Uruguay in some part. Maybe opening match and final or along those lines.Isn't Argentina completely broke right now?
And Uruguay is too small for a modern WC. Maybe Brazil-Uruguay?
But again, I read Brazil lost a lot of cash in the WC and Olympics recently, plus the economic situation seems to be getting worse.
I think finances will be the big obstacle for a South America WC.
It would be poetic. Are there any credible rumors? It'll definitely be Uruguay in some part. Maybe opening match and final or along those lines.
But there's great optimism in Latin America that it'll be held there due to first wc in Uruguay in 1930.
There's already a Uruguay–Argentina–Paraguay bid on the table and I'm sure they'll stump up the money between them for 12 years time.It would be poetic. Are there any credible rumors?
Argentina has insane inflation at the moment. When I came here two years ago $1 was 14 pesos, now it's 40... I'd be surprised if there'll be money over here for the next couple of decades..There's already a Uruguay–Argentina–Paraguay bid on the table and I'm sure they'll stump up the money between them for 12 years time.
Asia have a World Cup in 2022.Don’t sleep on China. FIFA is desperate to have them hold a WC over there. If they come with a bid, it’ll be really hard to beat that.
Yes. But didn't FIFA end the rotation principle after the Brazil bid? As far as I remember only the confederation that held the last WC cannot bid.Asia have a World Cup in 2022.
They'll all club together for it and try to take a piece of the action.Argentina has insane inflation at the moment. When I came here two years ago $1 was 14 pesos, now it's 40... I'd be surprised if there'll be money over here for the next couple of decades..
I agree, this is where it should go.I would like a Uruguay-Argentina world cup.
Makes sense to celebrate 100 years of WC where it all began.
Yup. Although given the turbulence of the Argentine economy I don't know if it would be wise. I'd like to see it though.I would like a Uruguay-Argentina world cup.

They should just move the 2022 World Cup to China.Asia have a World Cup in 2022.
Uruguay at 5m, Qatar probably has half of that, and it has zero football history. Makes you think how on earth this 2022 WC is going to be pulled off.Argentina is a middle income country in economic turmoil right now. Uruguay has a population of 5m.
Neither are close to being fit to host a WC.
I think the Qatar World Cup is nothing short of a disgrace.Uruguay at 5m, Qatar probably has half of that, and it has zero football history. Makes you think how on earth this 2022 WC is going to be pulled off.
Yeah, but this is FIFA we are talking about.Argentina is a middle income country in economic turmoil right now. Uruguay has a population of 5m.
Neither are close to being fit to host a WC.
Indeed. I cannot bring myself to not watching a WC, but this will test my limits.I think the Qatar World Cup is nothing short of a disgrace.
The 100 year WC should be done like the next Euro, have a group each near a major city somewhere.I would like a World Cup hosted in major cities across the world.
Yes, yes. That will be fantasticUK might bid for the 2030 World Cup too.

Argentina was worse off in 1998-2002 and they recovered. Economic Crisis are the bread and butter of Latin America. Brazil was also in the middle of a recession during WC/Rio Olympics.Argentina has insane inflation at the moment. When I came here two years ago $1 was 14 pesos, now it's 40... I'd be surprised if there'll be money over here for the next couple of decades..
The infrastructure is there in the south. Good luck when millions of tourists descend on the north and need a train!UK World Cup would be great, largely because the infrastructure is there to host the World Cup if it started tomorrow, and there won't be issues with rushing to build stadia in terrible working conditions and people dying. Not that FIFA give a toss about that.
By 2030 we won't need trains anymoreThe infrastructure is there in the south. Good luck when millions of tourists descend on the north and need a train!
I would like a World Cup hosted in major cities across the world.
You would need to extend the tournament to two full months or even more to allow for intercontinental travel which would be inevitable under this format. It’s plenty of hassle for teams and even more for fans. The 100 year WC should be done like the next Euro, have a group each near a major city somewhere.
The final can go to Uruguay.
Trains are shite here in the south too. IMO the north west has much better transport links. And if you're going to Scotland from anywhere from the Midlands and below, you might as well fly, considering how cheap it is (and how extortionate trains are)The infrastructure is there in the south. Good luck when millions of tourists descend on the north and need a train!
For China to be ineligible in 2030, Asia needs to hold the 2026 World Cup.Asia have a World Cup in 2022.
