Lukaku is shit. feck off about ‘poor service’ he’s so one dimensional. Doesn’t offer anything.
agreed, waits 5 mins for the ball to drop to him 6 yards out whilst the defenders jump in front of him
Movement is truly awful

How can Pogba be considered "excellent" when he was directly at fault for their equalizer?

So after six matches, we are eight points behind Liverpool (and probably Chelsea).
At least we won't have to bother ourselves dreaming about the title

No need to worry. Wolves are a good side. They held City 1-1 as well. The only negative is a lack of killer instinct. Too many of our attackers rather do pointless tippy tappy around the box than try score. How I miss Chictarito, RVP and Van Nistelrooy in the box.

Shitty shitty performance from Lukaku, I think is the worst game he had played for us.

Great game by Pogba and Shaw, they drived all the attacking game, and can please someone explain me how Alexis is still starting games? Lingard, Mata, Valencia, Martial should be ashamed, what a poor performance

There are so many issues facing us it hardly makes sense to pick out one, but a manager who resorts to lumping the ball long when faced with any sort of opposition is hardly inspiring. And, let’s be honest, it has absolutely no future.

I got pelters when I said we are mediocre side when everyone was raving about the win against Real sorry Watford. ...

This side is the shits, and with Mourinho at the helm it will be another wasted season.

The board need to sack Mourinho and then boot out Lingard, Valencia,Bailly, Sanchez, Mata, Herrera, Rashford, Fellaini, Martial in fact the only half decent player we have is DDG.
Mediocre is the wrong word, as even if we're 6th, that's out of 20 in this division alone, and 92 in the football leagues.

We're certainly well off what's needed to be top 3 though. Well off.

Wolves looked like the better team at certain stages of the game, they certainly seemed more penetrative. Our front three, which I hope and pray we never see again, were all very poor today. Everything Lukaku touched turned to shite, Sanchez and Lingard refused to play on the flanks and instead chose to drift inside and cause congestion in the central area.

Martial and Mata came on but had little to no effect on the game either, they were causing similar problems to those they replaced because they also like to drift inside. As always our wingers were not up to scratch and we look impotent in attack due to that. Without genuine width, we're going to struggle to make top 4. We didn't look like we were going to score a second, which is so often the case with United under Mourinho. Worrying.

It would be nice just to have a title challenge one season.

Why was Fred taken off? He was our best player in the game along with Pogba. This loytalty to certain under performing players has to stop. Valencia, Sanchez, Lukaku, Lingard all useless.

High time Jose drops Sanchez and Lukaku.. they have been abysmal this season. Martial and Rashford deserves a start after this debacle by our so called best forwards. Honestly i would rather have Hesky or even Zammora than Lukaku right now, the guy is just too dumb.
Yeah they have looked great so far. Martial is a lazy useless bstard, coming on strolling around as usual.

Wolves are pretty good. With Lukaku in this form, it's really hard for our attack to manage much unfortunately. The number of offsides towards the end is simply unforgivable for a player of his experience. He also looks fully gassed to me, I still maintain he needs to lose a bit of weight and focus more on increasing his stamina. Looks like he's about to fall over after 60 minutes or so.

Mata is also a worry. Offered no threat whatsoever when he came on, just kind of drifted towards the ball and then unthreatingly passed to someone else.

Top 4 is going to be a real struggle. No top 4 means no Jose right? I'm in.

Probably Lukaku's worst game in a Utd shirt, not that we created many chances for him.

Sanchez, well, where to begin really? It's weird, he could never play for us again and I don't think I'd care or we'd miss him.
He has done nothing to warrant "missing" him so its not an unpopular opinion

Red Card for Casemiro!
We are terrible at this football thing, aren't we?

I usually look at Pogba when we drop points, but he has been sublime today. Yes, he lost possession which led to them conceding, but his through balls, touches, passes, decision making have all been brilliant otherwise.

Lukaku let us down today, not for the first time. If only he could perform as well as he could talk. Whenever we need him, Lukaku goes missing. His touches were terrible, he was not holding up the ball properly, had no chemistry with any of his partners.

Martial looked so much better than Sanchez after coming on. Sanchez has been one of the worst decisions we've made in a while, and we've had quite a few of those haven't we? 400k wasted week after week, Martial's confidence destroyed, points being dropped left right and centre. Imagine if Aguero scored 3 in 22 appearances. Or Kane. Or Hazard.

We had no width either. Lingard, Sanchez, Mata, Martial all cutting in. On top of that even Shaw decided to keep cutting in for some reason. They were compact, defensive, and had good passing for counters. That part of the game - on Mourinho.

The scary thing is, we could have been conceding 3 or 4 if not for De Gea's usual heroics.

Good point earned against a very good team. You guys don't think many Wolves players would play in this United team?

10 points from 6 games and up to 5th in the Europa League spot. Good weekend for us.

Onwards and upwards.

Not surprising... We've been a one step forward, one step backward team for a while.

We're seriously lacking in attack... I mean, you could argue that eache of our top 6 rivals have at least one forward player that's better then our best one (and our best one can definitely be debated)

I hope someone in the press asks why Fellaini was instructed to play further forward in the second half. As poor as Lukaku was, and as one dimensional as he is, this is again on Mourinho.

Why bring on Martial and Mata, just to bypass them for the rest of the game and play hopeful crosses and direct passes? He might as well have bought Bailly on and stuck Smalling up there.

This game smacked of desperation as soon as they'd equalised. Sanchez and Lukaku are being made to look like mugs because of the tactics that they are instructed to play. When your striker is told to stay central and his only asset is pace, you have to carry him for the entire game. You can't win at any level carrying someone for 90 minutes.

Slow tempo. Attacking players barely in the game. Full-backs reluctant to go forward until late on.

Fred scored with a good shot after a nice touch from Pogba and had a lovely free-kick saved; otherwise very little quality in our play.

Wolves worth a draw.

8 points behind Liverpool already is disgraceful and you can easily argue they've had a tougher fixture list. I can't wait till this man is out of our club.

No doubt he'll make a fool of himself in the press conference to deflect.
Not surprised their squad is better than ours...

Really the manager’s fault? Christ!

He’s the one who has bought the players and decided on tactics and playstyle. Of course it’s his fault when the team is not performing over time.

Are you suggesting that it’s the players’ fault? If so, was it the players’ fault that we finished 7th under Moyes and not the managers fault?

Instead of giving up on this season, I would get rid of Mourinho and get somebody else in. Clearly he is done.

But you still have a very poor squad of players when compared when teams like City and Liverpool. No matter who came over us we would struggle to get top 4 with the squad we have.

Too many average players in this side, something we have complained about since around 2010. Occasionally a little bit of quality from a selected few has pulled us through, but as a collective this is unacceptable. There's a long way before we are going to challenge for the league again, unfortunately.

Lukaku is one of those kind of players that you "have to build your team around" in order to get something out of him. He can't slot into multi-approached roles. Every other player has to play for Lukaku, to get the ball out and cross, cross, cross. You have to forsake any play between lines and fluid running because he's just so static.
Crossing is pointless as he never makes a near post run. He waits for the PERFECT cross onto the six yard box to have an effective header tap in.

A centre forward who doesn't do centre forward play.

we were never in the title race after our summer signings, frankly

we just lack so much quality in attack. we literally have no world class talent up front or on the wings. you don't win titles with no attacking talent. Martial may get there one day, but he's not there yet, Alexis seems like he's past it, and Lukaku is too one dimensional.

We got outplayed by Wolverhampton at Old Trafford, who's fecking fault is it if not Mourinho?
There's loads of problems, but the main blame is the guy in charge of actually managing the team and getting good performances out of the players.

Thought we played well really up until their goal. We know how they play so I wasn't surprised.

They got away with so many fouls though, it was ridiculous. One yellow card? They were constantly niggling trying to break up any flow and the ref did f*ck all. Also I swear every 50/50 would bounce off of one of our players and out for their ball.

That being said our attack is so disjointed. Lukaku constantly wanting it to feet but then not able to control it when it comes in. Sanchez is actually just crap now and probably delivers one good ball every 8 games. Shaw was very good. Pogba excellent. Fred good but faded.
Summed up the game well, far more detailed than "Mourinho Out" or whatever it is everyone is saying.

We're probably where we should be. We have some good players that on their day can produce a bit of magic (Pogba, Sanchez, Martial).

But we're pretty ordinary a lot of the time. Our defence isn't good. The GK papers over the cracks a lot of the time. Without Dave in goal we lose 2-1 today.

Meh, don't expect much these days to be honest. A draw is probably fair.

Top 3 will be Chelsea, City, Liverpool (hopefully in that order too). The ugly scrap for 4th between Utd, Spurs and Arsenal has now officially begun. I think we'll sneak it, just.

The manager is directly responsible for the performance of the squad, so yes.
I guess it all leads back to him. But that’s kind of like blaming an individual result on the Glazers, because they appoint the manager who buys the players who play the games.

I think it’s clear Jose has had us playing well of late, so the day we turn to shite, I’m not sure we can turn around and say it’s because of some sort of terrible instructions they have gotten. Sanchez has fallen to shit, which has in turn let his manager down, for example. We don’t have too quality forward players.

Slow, predictable and dare I say boring.

Why are our players so static. Nobody apart from Pogba looks like they are able to take on a player.

Pogba gets stick but he was by far our best player on the pitch, trying to create.

Lukaku was terrible. We can't solely rely on him alone. I'd rather us play 2 strikers together if we can't make this front 3 work because let's face it, we aren't.
