No better than 5th. Either 5th or 6th.
Chelsea, City, and Liverpool are all clearly miles ahead of us. Spurs are quite a bit better than we are. That leaves it between us and Arsenal.

With the sun imploding; fire engulfing the earth like a cheap kebab and finally not having to worry about any of this piffle (that’s what my scientist friends tell me anyway).

It all depends on if Jose is here or not. If he is I reckon we will end up about 7th but without it will be a bit more difficult to predict. So for simplicity sake lets just say Zidane takes over I reckon we will just about squeak in at 4th.

Said 5th before the season, but 6th is more likely given that Arsenal has shown small signs of not being dross.
Might be lower if the Board/Woody waits for the CL-qual to be mathematically impossible before changing management in order to save £££.

Changing my mind.....

8th.

I predict a continuation of this shambolic form for a month or so, Jose to be sacked around Christmas time with us languishing in 13-15th spots. Carrick and McKenna get given the caretaker position and do little to pull up trees but do stabilise us and improve results. We end up in the top 10, just about.

I predicted 3rd before the season, but think it could be 6th or lower the way we are playing now. We seem incapable of winning games regularly and when have we ever had a minus goal difference? Next Newcastle at home. We used to turn over regularly, you watch us struggle against them and end up drawing.

Honestly we could finish anywhere. The team absolutely has the quality to be finishing top 4. We finished ahead of Arsenal and Spurs comfortably last season but this is a team in freefall. We could finish anywhere from 6th to 10th if changes are not made.

5th or 6th most likely IMO. If we change managers then we can build some confidence and sneak into 4th.

6th if we stubbornly stick with Jose.

Push for 4th otherwise.

No way we will get 6th with Jose. The team have given up on him. Be lucky to make top 10 with the toxic atmosphere.

I think he'll be gone tomorrow though

You really think our board are decisive enough to sack him tomorrow? A day before a game? And a few weeks after the transfer window shuts?

I'd be amazed.

I don’t think Mourinho has once in 3 years won 10 games on the bounce. To win the league or get close you need to do this atleast once in a season.

I think they would hold fire if all the players appeared to be still with him and he wasn't picking fights with everyone. However that's not the case.

Keeping him for any longer is totally pointless. He's not turning it around from here.

Probably going to be
Chelsea/City
Liverpool
Arsenal (i think they're starting to click)
Tottenham
United

This assumes we start playing better! If not i can easily see us 8th.

Predicted 6th in pre season, now not so sure. Very well could be lower. As a matter of fact, I can almost guarantee it will be lower if Jose stays much longer.

Our level is around wolves, west ham, Everton. Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, city, spurs are all playing their own league. We will be lucky to finish 6th.

I have absolutely no idea where we will finish come the end of the season. The only thing I know for certain is our chances of qualifying for the CL diminish with every waking moment Jose remains in charge.

Me too. If I had to guess, depending on results, Wednesday morning if we lose Tuesday night, or Saturday night if we lose to Newcastle.

After Wolves I still thought we'd get 4th as I thought Mourinho and Pogba had dropped their feud, but then the whole bullshit blew up again and after the last two games I'm starting to fear we'll barely scrape 6th if he stays much longer, as to me that team against West Ham looked like a set of players that were rock bottom morale-wise.

I think if we get Zidane in within the next month we can still salvage top 4, but sadly I think the board will wait until it's mathematically impossible to get top 4 so they can sack Jose for less money.

Depends if we give Jose the full season. If he’s still here in May I could really see us around 10th or something.

We have the players to get at least 4th. But in our current state 6th or 7th.

Depends on a few factors, if we keep Mourinho until season's end and he isn't capable of repairing the dressing room then we could genuinely end up about 7th if we're not careful. If he can mend his relationship with the players, 5th. If we let him go and replace him with someone capable of getting more from this group of players we can get 4th at a push.

Firstly i think we'll get positive results this week and secondly the board have shown they are not sharp in decision making.
They'll most likely wait until we can't get the top four as per moyes n van gaal.

Saturday is a huge game. If we lose it we could possibly be 8 points behind Spurs and Arsenal. 9 points behind Liverpool, 10 points behind Chelsea and 12 behind City.

Getting top 4 would need us to go on an almost perfect run from then to the end of the season. We need to turn this form around now and go on a long run of wins. How far we are behind already draws are just not good enough.

At present were not even the 6th best team , unless a lot changes it will be just about hard enough to get into top 10. We will need at least 72-76 points for 4th.. not getting any where near, I'm going for 66 tops .. that maybe get 7th ?

Fourth place. Despite poor work by Jose so far, there's too much quality in the squad to finish 5th or 6th.

As horrific as we were against West Ham, luck conspired against for the first and second goals. As for the third goal, well, if Jose persists with McTominay as a CB then we could be looking at 10th. Sort out the basics, let the boys play proper football and we could challenge for top four. If that's too much to ask of Jose, then we have no shot at top four.

Could bite me in the arse to say this but I've got a feeling it will be us and Liverpool for 4th. I just cannot see Pool sustaining their way of playing, and if Van Dijk gets injured their depth of defenders is really poor. Also the deeper they go in the other comps the worse for them. Either way they will be winning exactly what we will win this season!

1. City
2. Chelsea
3. Arsenal
4. United/Pool

4th. Miles behind City, Chelsea and Liverpool but a point or two ahead of Spurs and Arsenal.

7 people think we will win the league?
Found that a bit surprising as well. Maybe next year if we get a top class striker, keep Hazard and sign Kovacic.

As for United... honestly think they can finish anywhere between 3rd and 6th.
