2:1 in the end and we made it more difficult that it probably should been when we gifted Everton that second-half penalty to make it 2:1. We held out for the win in the end and leapfrog Everton into eight.

A game that won't stick in the memory but Martial's performance was excellent, winning the penalty that led to our first goal and then scoring the second with a lovely curling finish from outside the box. He should have had a second goal late in injury time but was denied by Pickford.

Man Utd 1:0 Everton - (Pogba 27')

Man Utd 2:0 Everton - (Martial 49')

Man Utd 2:1 Everton - (Sigurdsson 77' pen)

Played pretty well till we conceded... Just 2 brainfarts in a few seconds.

Good result.

Brainfart from Smalling let them back into the game. As a positive, it was an individual error that did it not us playing like shit.

I missed the first half but I was told we played well.

Third home win of the season, let's try to make it a habit.

Keep Rom and Matic off the pitch and we’re a lot better.

Really glad Martial is taking that missed opportunity hard, that’s what we need to be seeing from our players.

Won me £100 on Martial scoring from outside the area.

But yeah a mostly solid performance. The penalty was a big error but my overwhelming feeling is that Everton really didn’t turn up.

Good lad Martial, keep it up. Great talent that feels like it’s slowly coming to the fore.

Good win for Man. United in the end. Nice to see the world dosen't end when Lukaku dosen't start, he was hopeless when he came on.

Martial is in superb form. You must indulge him and stop asking him to track back all the time.

Big test the three away games coming up though. Could easily be three defeats seeing as the back 4 was poor again today and Bournemouth will attack you with pace.

Good win. Everton couldn't get a shot on target for the final 25 minutes bar the pen.
Why this is called nervy is beyond me.
We deserved that win

Thank feck for that. A good theee points but we made it much harder than it had to be.

We’re going to see drama with Mourinho and Pogba now though. No way he doesn’t call him out for his shenanigans that lead to their penalty.

Bossed the game until that Pogba+Smalling brainfart.

We look better without Lukaku.

Should’ve won by about 4 goals. Pogba has a great game what the bell was he doing messing about when Mata is clearly marked. Lucky to get away with it in the end.

Pogba was sprinting to press Everton players in the 90th minute, while Lukaku just strolled towards them after coming on as a substitute.

I'm pretty sure there's a third Lukaku brother that plays for Belgium national team and looks exactly like Romelu. We probably bought the wrong Lukaku.

We were cruising until Pogba and Smalling lost their heads and let Everton back in. Tough to build confidence in the side when the players know their teammates are prone to make idiotic mistakes. I hope Santa gives us a centre back for Xmas.

We were actually pretty good at times, especially early in the second half. Played some good stuff. But there's always a stain - those brain farts from our two best players will irritate me for the rest of the evening.
