Looking for the answers...
I am confused? Surely 90% of people will just pick United and pick a World XI...?

Would make more sense for people to pick their team's All Time XI, albeit that's been done to death on here!

I think he expects exactly this (and yes, there were many threads like that before).

San Marino Calcio:
GKeepers: Simone
Defenders: Andrea, Michele, Marco, Alessandro
Midfielders: Piero, Ornaldo, Evarists
Forwards: Samuel, Mirco, Rivolino

Seriously though, I developed a soft spot for them thanks to Football Manager (completed the SM challenge in FM12 beating England in the WC final) and have had a fondness for them since.

Spartak Moscow 80s to present day 11. Experimental- potentially disastrous -no striker formation as Spartak never had any very good traditional forwards anyway in this time. Playing their traditional '50s-'90s fast paced multiple playmaker possession style.

Honourable mentions: Dmitriy Khlestov, Aleksandr Bubnov, Yuri Nikiforov, Andrei Piatnitsky, Igor Shalimov, Igor Lediakhov, Dmitriy Alenichev, Andrei Tikhonov

Dalmat was a big failure but with the mentality of M'bappé he could have been one of the greatest French box-to-box!

I pick him for Marseille

Croatia national football team:

GK- Dražen Ladić

CB- Robert Kovač
CB- Igor Tudor
CB- Josip Šimunić

RM- Ivan Rakitić
CM- Zvonimir Boban
CM- Luka Modrić
LM- Aljoša Asanović
AM- Robert Prosinečki

ST- Eduardo
CF- Davor Šuker

Croatia finest in 3-5-2 formation with goalkeeper who I would personlly trust against any striker ever, he really was that good. Defence made of 3 great defenders, players who were not just strong in duel, but great with ball at the feet. Midfield seems like football cheat, with so many brilliant players but there they are, so can say that creative part of the play is covered. 2 lethal strikers who can score both from creative team play or from brilliant individual play.

Chose Schalke 04.

Incredible the amount of talents they have made, especially going forward. A bit weak at the back maybe, but you'll just have to outscore the opponent I guess. Could've included Sane but I'd keep him as an impact sub.

A united team of my favourites, not necessarily the best

...................Schmeichel................

Neville........Stam...Vidic.......Evra...

...............Keane....Scholes...............

Kanchelskis...............................Park....

....................Cantona............

....................Solskjaer.............

Naturally I loved Beckham Giggs van nistelrooy and so many more we’ve been lucky to have but some there I just have a soft spot for.

I would love to have seen a young Giggs in an attacking 3 with Rooney/Ronaldo circa 2007. Giggs being let loose rather than having to get up and down the wing in a 4-4-2 system.

I also wonder how Scholes and Beckham’s careers may have been different had they come through today. I think Scholes’ ability to control a game would have been considered an even greater asset. I wonder if Beckham could have adapted to playing a role like Eriksen where he could drift into central areas to make use of his shooting ability whilst also popping up in wide positions to play a killer cross.

DDG

Neville
Ferdinand
Vidic
Irwin

Keane
Scholes
Beckham

Giggs
Ronaldo
Rooney

Edit: Pogba would be incredible in this team in Beckham’s place

Romário should have been there, possibly Nilis for his selfless style — oh well, I like Van Nistelrooy more and he did score close to a goal per game in the Eredivisie! No Koeman or Cocu or van Bommel either... ¯\_(ツ)_/¯

Park and Stam make the cut — 3 United players in a non-United team is pretty cool.

One day, I have spent some time to try to guess who is the best between Ballack and Effenberg.

I guess your answer but what's the difference between these 2 players? They seem similar in terms of style of play: Ballack more offensive maybe and Effenberg more aggressive, I don't know

I think we should get more threads about German football
