Would have signed him too, only for him failing a work permit, IIRC...Having trials is normal, even Freddy Adu had a trial at United

Really? I thought it was because he was a bit rubbish.Would have signed him too, only for him failing a work permit, IIRC...
Ibra had a trial at Arsenal as did Yaya Toure. Christian Eriksen and Mbappe had trials with Chelsea. Obviously these players are young as feck at this timeHaving trials is normal, even Freddy Adu had a trial at United
He's injured for the rest of the season. How is this lad doing now?
Shame. I was thinking how he reminded me of a young skinny eriksen at AjaxHe's injured for the rest of the season.
Didn't we used to have a talented Norwegian kid in our academy too? Can't recall what his name was and I'm more curious to what he's up to now. I remember his highlight reels was very impressive ..Shame. I was thinking how he reminded me of a young skinny eriksen at Ajax
He was decent the few times I saw him this season. Was playing a bit deeper and more involved in the build-up play so his attacking returns have been limited. Passing and dribbling has been good. Plus always looks silky and smooth and in control. How is this lad doing now?
Are you talking about Mats Møller Dæhli?Didn't we used to have a talented Norwegian kid in our academy too? Can't recall what his name was and I'm more curious to what he's up to now. I remember his highlight reels was very impressive ..
All jokes aside Odegaard already played better at a higher level than Adu ever did.Having trials is normal, even Freddy Adu had a trial at United
Dæhli has been struggling with injuries for a while now. Shame because he's clearly talented. Only just turned 23 mind you so he could still have a good career if he somehow can stay fit.Didn't we used to have a talented Norwegian kid in our academy too? Yes that's the lad. Cheers!
Shame to hear that. Had high hopes for the kid. Was quite surprised when I heard that we sold him and was hoping that we had a buy back clause for him.Dæhli has been struggling with injuries for a while now. Shame because he's clearly talented. So have most players in fairness. All jokes aside Odegaard already played better at a higher level than Adu ever did.
Reports are we did and tried to activate it but he turned us down to sign with Cardiff.Shame to hear that. Had high hopes for the kid. Was quite surprised when I heard that we sold him and was hoping that we had a buy back clause for him.
Good point. Even the absolute worst wonderkids managed to be starters for a top division team somwhere at some point. So have most players in fairness.
I do indeed remember him as well. They both went to Cardiff when Sokskjaer became manager.
This video sums up football and modern day football supporters in a nutshell.
Can’t argue with this
Yup, got way too much hype cause of the transferAlmost 20 years old and hasn't really done anything yet.
I was seriously puzzled about that choice in the summer. I thought after his stint in Heerenveen, which gave him a first full season of top flight football outside of Norway, a loan to a PD club would have been the logical next step. Interesting to hear the decision might have been down to him/his father, not Real.I recently read an article saying that Madrid are quite disappointed by the fact that he has chosen the Dutch league, apparently influenced by his father, to be closer to Norway.
The club considers that there is little competition and it will mean an improvement
Yes he has. He got lots and lots and lots of money that no 17 year old and his dad could ever dream of. He can retire at 20 back home in the old country. That's pretty ambitious and impressive to me.Almost 20 years old and hasn't really done anything yet.
I was expecting something spectacular..Tweet

I'm afraid this is as good as it gets with ØdegaardI was expecting something spectacular..
Canales is only where he is because of his injuries. And let the hypee continue!!!!
Still dont think he's gonna make it at a top club. Probably go the same route as Canales and end at a mid table club when he's older.
Come on now. He might have made millions but if he's going back to Norway that'll last him about half a year.Yes he has. He got lots and lots and lots of money that no 17 year old and his dad could ever dream of. He can retire at 20 back home in the old country. That's pretty ambitious and impressive to me.
GK is in a ridiculous position, but that said, it's a cracking free kick that I doubt he'd have saved anyway. Is it just me or is that goalie way too far across for the freekick?
What do you mean by "make it" @Acquire Me? I think he'll likely end up a decent player, maybe Januzaj's level.I think he will make it. Still very young and raw.
