How come none of the really big european clubs (Barca, Bayern, Real) really came in for him. I can't remember any speculation. Wages too high? Player genuinely happy at Man City not competing for the Champs League?
They didn't need him to be honest.

I think Sergio is happy being Sergio, he's one to those players whose found a home, is getting paid incredibly well and just content. Apparently he's such a nice guy (outside of the pitch anyway) he's not overly ambitious. Barca wanted him ahead of Suarez and the guy didn't even complain when City told them he's not for sale. Bearing in mind himself and Messi are best friends, it would have been easy for him to kick up a fuss and get the move.

We got really, really lucky with him, Silva and Megamind, 3 of our greatest every players and never a whinge about moving on from any of them. All have been very loyal to City, I suppose the wages we offer help.

The luck has been sickening to be honest, with all due respect. The fact that all three have been absolute monsters for you for so long is the reason you are where you are.

Oh how I wish we had signed one of Silva or Aguero when they were available.

Luck plays a huge part in top players career. Aguero is probably one of the best signings of the modern day PL era and Silva and Kompany have been fantastic players for you guys.

9 PL hattricks, only Shearer has more (11). Probably match that quite easily this season.

It feels like he doesn't get as much attention as the likes of Kane, Salah, Lukaku, etc. Yet he's consistently getting loads of goals every season.

Pogba will leave in January or next summer. He is perfect for Barca.

I think it’s universally acknowledged that he’s one of the best strikers the PL has ever seen.

We should have bought him, Silva and Hazard. Far too stingy in those days

He said this summer after getting knee surgery that for the first time in 5 years he didn't have knew pain and could fully bend his knee again. Seems to have a lot more movement and pace then I've seen from him the last couple years. Expect him to have a really great season

IIRC.. He was always out of the PL team of the season for ages
Got in there last year but in general he had weird seasons. Either he had injuries or bad form when the voting took place, or he was on fire at the end of the season when those votes were already decided. Plus sometimes there is someone like Vardy who will obviously get more plaudits for a standout seasons, not to mention mainstays like Kane who I guess would be generally liked more for obvious reasons.

Kinda agree, I don’t know why but it feels like for some reason he is underrated or is it everyone knows he is that good that him scoring is somewhat a bit of a given so people are like that’s just Aguero being Aguero. He’s actually incredible, remember watching him at Atletico Madrid and hoping United were going to buy him but as good as Kane is if I had to choose it would be Aguero. Both very different players, but Aguero is just unplayable at times.

I reckon it's mostly because he never plays enough games in a season to really spank the league. Guardiola has clearly been lukewarm on him as well and he's leaving next year anyway.

If he actually stays fit this season, he could be terrifying.

Que? The man is obviously on the list for the all-time best in this league, has been for many years and plays for the best team.. and why is Lukaku even mentioned? Aguero guarantees goals and always has

We're so fecking dissapointed in here. He's always said he'd come back with us kinda at 31, not being that old, to compete for trophies with us. And now he would be back with 33 years of age. We don't even want him anymore.

Feck him.

Can you really blame him considering the team City have built now? He has a chance of winning the CL.

Of course you can, he is our idol and we need him far more than city does, since we have maybe 1% of their resources. And if he said nothing and stayed there nobody would say anything, but he has always said he will come back, every year. He would do it at 31, after 2018 WC. We all were expeting him to come.

For example, Forlán didn’t come but he’s never said anything and it’s ok.

But you don’t really need to play with our illusions.

Is he the current active PL player who scored the most goals against us?
2nd most all-time in the PL. Not many other active players that have scored goals against us.

10- Shearer
8- Agüero, Fowler, Gerrard, L. Ferdinand, Henry

Best striker in world football for me. Said it for years, if it wasn't for his propensity to get injured, he's scoring as many goals as anyone.
