I thought Snapchat was for private messaging?
You can also do a "story" like facebook / instagram where whoever follows you can watch it.

I assume either somebodies grassed him up and screenshotted it, or he's been stupid enough to post it on his story and someone has reported it.

Either way it's a stupid move for somebody in the public eye, he cleared had no reason but to step down.

It appears that the fool posted it on «stories» which means that all of his followers can see it - then someone took a screenshot and sent it to his superiors.
Ah if he's posted it publicly then thats fair enough, stupid thing to do really.

At the risk of playing devils advocate, is there a line in terms of what can cause sackings or not? Im guessing it might have been in his contract - in which case, pretty silly?
eg was this just a image he was sent, and he was forwarding it onto somebody else (but accidentally added it to the story)
Would he get fired if he did what he intended (but that was still screenshot' and shared).

Im trying to find out what is and isnt acceptable. I am often forwarded some really strange / offensive stuff. I dont care either way about it (not offended, sometimes dont even find it funny). So if my phone was stolen, and this stuff was found, would it reflect upon me?
Or if I did forward it on to somebody who I know has a dark sense of humour, again, what does that say about me (would that be grounds for a company to sack him)

I guess its different as hes in the public eye. Guessing context would never matter once you become famous?

(This is what ive read so far:

Madley reportedly shared a picture of a disabled man with an accompanying insensitive remark regarding the likelihood of him being able to beat the official in a school sports day race.

One of Madley's Snapchat followers apparently took a grab of the comment and sent it on to his bosses, who are said to have subsequently fired the referee.)

Bobby Madley wants to restart referee career in Norway

Former Premier League referee Bobby Madley has spoken of his desire to resume his career in Norwegian football.

Sky Sports News understands the 32-year-old was sacked by the Premier League in August after sending an inappropriate message on social media featuring a picture of a disabled man.

After the image was seen by the Professional Game Match Officials Limited, he was informed that his contract would be terminated.

Speaking to Norwegian media outlet, NRK, Madley said: "I would love to referee in Eliteserien (Norway's top-flight) at some point, but I have to work hard and prove I am trust worthy first. It's only fair.

"I have an agreement with the Premier League, which means I cannot discuss the details of it (departure). But I can say that much of which was written in the media was false, and that was disappointing and hurtful."

Norwegian referee supervisor Terje Hauge has revealed a plan to have Madley in place as a referee before the start of the 2019 season in March, although the division is yet to be decided.

Madley added: "My preparation has already started (to be a referee in Norway).

"I have seen many Elites series games on television in recent months, and the standard of the referees is very high. Norway has more referees who I'm sure could be referees in the Premier League.

"I'm sure all Norwegian referees want to referee in the Elite series. But, just because I was a referee in the Premier League, does not make me better than any other referee in Norway and it gives me no right to go to the top level."

Madley had officiated 91 matches in the Premier League since 2013 and also took charge of last season's Community Shield at Wembley.

Imagine the #bantz when he tries to start a Norwegian league game with a dog whistle.

Can't wait to get back on the pitch? You'd swear he was actually a footballer. Anyone who enjoys reffing a game is a twat.

Admire his commitment to his marriage. I'm not married but don't think I'd do it.

I’ve had friends who viewed reffing in the Norwegian 3. division as the accomplishment of their lives. I really don’t get it.

It's not a very easy career to get big promotions in. When you consider the level you start at as a referee, to go to Norway Div 3 is still a hell of a lot higher up the ladder than where you start.

Yes, true. These guys started reffing around 16 yo, and were psyched from the start. Seems so lonely, as when playing football you have teammates. All of them seem to become somewhat dick-ish.

I wouldn't mind divorcing my wife and moving to Norway considering who he is with now. He's done very well for himself.

So you're just going to post that without including pictures?

Woah woah woah, no zoophilia or hump jokes before you think of saying one. Should go without saying really but have to say it as I know what some are like.

That's fecking crazy, another example why you can't fully trust people that are supposedly close to you. The person who ruined Madley's career must be one of the biggest cnuts out there, what a pathetic sad guy, pretending to be a mate of his.

Literally don’t remember this guy, but seems a harsh reason to lose his career over.
