Depends on a few factors, if we keep Mourinho until season's end and he isn't capable of repairing the dressing room then we could genuinely end up about 7th if we're not careful. If he can mend his relationship with the players, 5th. If we let him go and replace him with someone capable of getting more from this group of players we can get 4th at a push.
Are there any examples of this to be found in his past? I cannot think of one.
I think you need to dispose of him quickly if you want to have a shot at securing the last CL spot.

1) Manchester City
2) Liverpool
3) Chelsea
4) Arsenal
5) United/ Tottenham

We can see Arsenal is getting better every week and they have an amazing attack. United and Tottenham I believe we're both in a downward spiral. I had faith in Mourinho but not anymore it's too toxic atm.

With Mourinho, 7th.
Without Mourinho, 6th.

Kind of my thinking but to be honest, I think 7th or 8th either way. I dont see Carrick/McKenna having the nous to drag us up the table, the style of football will improve though I think and we'd at least be a bit more excited about watching the team.

Something new about Carrick and McKenna or just a hunch?

We'll eventually go on a run. Well, I hope we do. However, I think in City, Liverpool, Spurs, Chelsea and Arsenal, theres five teams who havent necessarily got a better squad, but certainly play better football than us and will probably finish above us.

Im hoping i'm wrong, though, and that we can finish top four, otherwise we may lose some of our better players.

We will probably finish 6th as we are definitely a worse playing team than the current top 5. Would be better really to finish 8th or 9th. Not only would Mou be gone, but the new manager could just concentrate on the league, instead of the Europa League farce as well.

Can’t see us finishing above any of those. Probably 6th.

Hopefully 7th/8th. Jose will be sacked and we won’t have the tumescent Europa League to contest with next season.

I see 7 people have got us down to win the title. Weirdly, less people think we will get 2nd than top.

4th or 5th. Think Arsenal are quite up and down, same as Spurs, so we've got a chance of sneaking into the top 4. Depressing.
This is what I said back in September. Think we'd be lucky to get 5th at the moment, look far too inconsistent. Top 4 looks laughably optimistic as things stand.

Personally, I hope we miss out on Europe completely. Top 4 is looking unlikely after each passing week as we are simply not good enough and far too inconsistent compared to the others. I don’t want the bloody Europa League on Thursday night next season.

So in that case, probably 7th

If we are not top 4 I am completely comfortable falling outside of a Europa league spot. New manager in, root and branch change in approach and playing squad, focus on the league.

Yep, same. Missing out on the Europa League won't make blind bit of difference to who we can attract, and it'll be a benefit for us in the league. It'll be weird having so few games again though, that was such a bizarre feeling when we had no Europe at all.

In September I said 4th to 6th is our range and voted with an outside chance of 4th.

Jose keeps putting his foot in it and making odd selections. 6th to 10th is now more realistic. Spurs Chelsea and Arsenal are looking too good for us and have hired well.

I've voted 6th but I can see more problems for Jose and the last few months could be terrible if we're way off. Could be quite embarrassing for everyone involved.

The fans at OT weren't really demanding the players liven up against Palace like they were in previous matches. To make top 4 the fans need to do what Fergie did for us and I don't see it happening enough.

Before the season started I had United fourth, and then a gap to Chelsea and Arsenal. Chelsea and Arsenal have started better than I thought, but I'm not completely convinced that United can't go on a run and sneak 4th. It's still open, but something needs to change soon.

Changed my vote from 5th to 6th. Still think we'll do enough to finish above the likes of Everton, even if Mourinho stays for the rest of the season, but the top five are clearly better.

Haven't been convinced with Arsenal all season, still think we can finish ahead of them. Spurs also have been very underwhelming from a performance perspective but their results have been good. And then their performance vs Chelsea was superb so perhaps their "dip" is over with limited damage.
