Mourinho says that he has a "proper" injury that will keep him out for a while.

And that's why its always idiotic to play through injuries, especially muscular injuries. Even more crazy that Mourinho actually praised players who try to play through them. Not brave, stupid.
He never played the game so what do you expect.

Out for awhile with a injury according to Mourinho.

Played through with a injury and made Mourinho happy. Now injured for a period of time thanks to our manager.

What would the reaction have been if in trying to play through an injury he ended up at fault for a goal? Keep in mind the reaction to Smalling last year at Leicester, chucked back on into a pivotal position when he clearly couldn't move.

Hats off to him. He showed more balls than smalling has done in his whole career. Was everywhere and defending like boss.
Is it really necessary to denigrate someone else in order to make your point? Something that's likely not even true. As if we've not seen Smalling play injured before.

I am not 100% sure, but I believe United had already had the three substitutions.

It really wasn’t, by any stretch. Average performance, topped off by a lucky decision from the assistant referee when he failed to defend like a man. Confident? He’s a sitting duck.
Rock on brother. Why don't you find where he lives, take a shit in his letterbox. That'll be good craic.

Deserved. Good month for him and hopefully he keeps it on when he returns from injury.

Lindelof as the best player of the month is well deserved. He has definitely been one of the 2-3 best players for a long time. If I'm right, he was also just beaten by Martiall in the vote last month?

In addition, he has been the one who has improved his game more than anyone this season, possibly then with the exception of Martial, when many of our stars have rather done the opposite. Not DDG of course, he's always good.

So I think it's very well deserved and pleasingly, many others seem to think the same.

Player of the month. So basically players not being atrocious, as lindelof has been for most of his time here, gets player of the month. We have totally morfed into the old Liverpool #mediocracy

So a player who missed one game completely, was really dreadful in another (City, where most were dreadful), and for half of another as well (Bournemouth, where again okay were crap)

So basically being alright in 2 and a half games out of 5 wins you POTM. Good stuff all round then really.

This isn't actually a dig at Lindelof, more an indictment of our while whole and our general level of shiteness.

Spot on. Smalling and Jones performance last game, was better than any of Lindelof's this season. The gulf in class is apparent.

I’m not being negative, he’s clearly done better than he did 2 months ago but I’m surprised he was even in the list, sums up the whole team has been poor in November. I’ll give it to de gea instead and Fellaini should have take his spot in the top 3 potm due to very good performance against City + the hero against Juventus and Young Boys.

Showed some excellent strides before getting injured, well deserved. Full credit to him, hope he comes back from the injury stronger.

That was Young Boys
A champions league team that would beat half the teams in the premier league, yes

As for Lindelof being player of the month I guess they forgot Martial existed and was 1 goal off joining Ruud, Cantona and Ronaldo as the only players to score 6 goals in 6 games. What a load of nonsense

POTM is a bit meaningless but I can't help thinking Lindelof won it more because there was a lack of a better option, he's been better than he was but that doesn't mean he's been good.

Honestly think he can become a top CB if he keeps at it. Its not a easy job playing CB for Utd right now. Lack of a decent partner and pretty much no cover from midfield. Also considering the limited experience he has playing in England, last couple of games he's been decent. He needs to work on his aerial ability though.

Is it wrong of me to think that he won it purely as a result of getting injured vs Palace?

Lack of a decent partner you say? Like the snail complaining that the turtle is too slow to partner him in a relay game.

Hmm I don't know how you can say that but it still wouldn't make them better than how I see them anyway

Yes. It's completely wrong. What he did after the injury probably helped, most like if you give everything to the team, but POTM becomes one of the best in one month. If it is because everyone else has gotten worse is irrelevant, he is still the one who deserves the award.

You're talking out of your rear. The bias towards smalling and jones by some of the brits on here is laughable. It was Crystal Palace at home.

They beat the top team from the Croatian league Dinamo Zagreb to qualify for the champions league groups stages and got a draw with Valencia at home.

I don't think Cardiff and Huddersfield would manage any more than that.
