Positives were to see Dalot,Martial;Bailly(despite a few moments)Herrera and Rashford play well. Also positive to see Fellaini,Pogba and Lukaku on the bench
Negative: We missed Shaw at left back even though Darmian had a decent day. And when we had Lukaku,Pogba,Fellaini,Matic on the same field in the second half we naturally became slow and predictable and started playing the long balls and never looked like scoring. Where are Fred a 50 million pounds signing that does not get any game time and Pereira a player that can play a short, quick tempo passing game? Is it not time to start giving a place on the bench for Chong/Gomes to try to bring something new onto the field. We are in 8 place now behind Bournemouth, we have won 1 game of the last 5 in the PL and if we draw against Fulham on Saturday and lose against Liverpool were will we be then? This simply can not go on and sack Mourinho and bring in Eddie Howe and start playing football again.

Whilst the effort was there.it is so sad to see the mediocrity in this team. Our league position is justified. Serious changes needed.

Jose warned us before the season that we needed defensive reinforcements... the team is fighting... I don't know how you can put all the blame on him.
Everyone questions the manager's team selections, everybody is pissed off when he says that the team is lacking in quality, but then you see a game like this and it turns out that maybe he knows a little more than the fans. The team worked their socks off and deserve all the credit for the effort, but once again the weaknesses were evident:
  1. Error-prone defenders
  2. Poor decision-making from attackers resulting in several wasted 3v3, 2v2 opportunities
  3. No pressing ability with Pogba, Lukaku, Fellaini on the pitch

People saying they were impressed by Rashford and Lingard tonight because they looked lively and energetic really confuses me.

Anyone can charge around a football pitch but their final product and overall contribution was once again woeful! Other than Lingard's goal (from a mistake) neither of them looked remotely dangerous or troubled their keeper

Finally don't get the 'love in' for Herrera either. He was outplayed by the youngster Guendouzi IMHO.

It was nice to some intensity and entertainment to a game. Truly.

We're crap at passing though, to the point where it baffles me how a professional footballer can be that poor at hitting a ball in the right direction, under pressure or not.

Not sure about everyone else but as a team we don't look for enough, granted there was alot of effort out there tonight and plenty of sprints but towards the end some players looked completely spent.
Might have been because some of them haven't played much recently, Rojo, Dalot, Bailly but Martial seemed knackered before he came off,
Rashford appeared to be the only one still up for a sprint by the end. Whereas Arsenal still had willing runners all over the place in the last 5 mins.
Still, it's evident a change is needed and quick .

Enough playing Matic, Fellaini and Lukaku together. One is fine and that was Matic but the three of them oh come on they barely can passs a straightforward pass or run a proper run. They dead to me as footballers.

This season can not be finished soon enough, one of the worst ever seasons we have seen as United fans crap football. Manager attacking players and it seems everything is falling apart at this club. Really have no idea at all of how this can be fixed!

Just wish when we miss on 4th spot we also miss on E.L.

Why have our last 3 managers only played tumescent slow pass and cross football??

Hire someone whose team plays exceptional attacking football. See what happens.

We hung on for a draw in the end - Arsenal looked far more likely to win it. Hoofing it at every opportunity is getting really old now.

This is the worst possible result, honestly: the point is pretty much worthless at this stage but at the same time it doesn't push Mourinho closer to the edge because it looks a credible enough result.

At least the game was entertaining though, in all its low-quality glory. Schoolboy errors and mad challenges from both sides.
Entertaining? I think intense is the word you are looking for.

That should be our main target after those six pathetic years. I still feel we might have good players still as I almost lost faith in everyone.

So fecking bored of watching us work the ball back to De Gea so he can hoooooof it upfield to the other team
Never changed as well. No new ideas no building from the back nothing at all. Six years of suffering. Don't know how or when it's going to end.

Who but the manager that has spent 400 million pounds in signings plus the Sanchez bullshit deal can take the blame for the state of the squad? He bought Lukaku,Pogba,Lindelof,Bailly,Mikitarhyan,Matic,Sanchez(free?),Fred and apart from Ibra not a single one of those players has been a roaring success. He gets paid the big bucks for setting up the team, has gotten a lot of money to do that and still behaves like a spoilt primadonna the same as Pogba. Mourinho has bought very badly, has lost his grip on things and it´s best for all to let him go. Bournemouth have spent around 50 million pounds (after sales) in the last 3 seasons and they are ahead of us and playing much better fooball also. Thats how bad Mourinho has been.

Kind of the worst result for us as it just leaves us in purgatory. Doesn’t feel like the players or the manager are under real pressure and everyone is resigned to where we are. Arsenal were better, neither side was great, but we got worse after the subs... again. Not really an XI I would want to build on either. When Mourinho is geting draws, conceding two at home or away you know things aren’t going well.

Even his biggest critics are conceding that he did not do the buying.

Standing by the manager makes no sense at this point.

Who then? Do you think Mourinho would let anyone tell him what players to sign? Do you think Woodward shows up with them and say´s to him let play these guys?

It was both. I found the whole thing rather amusing, honestly. Quite a lot of goalmouth action - well, mostly in front of our goal, true, but still -, crunching tackles, hilarious errors, lots of good old kick and rush.

Don't get me wrong, our football was an absolute eyesore but the game itself was quite entertaining, in a bit of a slapstick manner.

Does anyone have a clue where our players were playing after the subs?

It was clear at one point Fellaini had no idea where he was supposed to be. We were very lucky not to lose due to the scatterbomb approach at the end.

I think the argument is that Woodward doesn't care about the manager's wishes, only about commercial value. Hence signing such highly marketable superstars as Lindelöf, Lukaku, Matic, Bailly and Dalot.

If Mourinho is really willing to let an accountant like Woodward “do the buying” for his football team then that’s a reason to fire him right there.

In reality, he might be finding it difficult to get all the players he wants but he’s clearly got a lot of players he wanted, at enormous expense. The two most expensive players we’re even deemed good enough to start tonight. We’re a fecking laughing stock.

15 games in, 8th in the league GD -1 Man city +38 .. and 90% of my mates are city fans,..

I thought the team worked hard, but as soon as lukaku pogba fellaini came on arsenal found more gaps due to the lack of pressing,

i fully expected a defeat tonight so a point is a plus just a shame with chelsea dropping and if we could have stole the 3 points tonight it might have gave me a slim hope ..

Like hell we are.

Every single player brought in during Mourinho's reign has been players he's wanted.

Only player I'd maybe wager he didn't want was Mkhi and it being a sweetner for the Pogba deal, but that theory could be seen as crazy.

1. He brought in Bailly and told the club to extend Rojo's contract.
2. Poor coaching thus team have no clear attacking plan.
3. Who's the guy who decide to sub all three in to try save the day? Jo-seeee Mou-rin-ho!!

I’d be extremely pissed, if I were Mata (or Fred). That was second game in a row that needed a creative player to feed Rashford or Martial. How Carrick or McKenna can just sit there and look at this travesty is beyond me.

Lukaku shouldn’t be near the first team right now. Offers absolutely nothing. I think Jose seriously lost the plot and the subs cost us.

It was a funny game. My team didn't play that well but that was probably due to being knackered in the second half and the injuries hampered us. Aubameyang and Mkhitaryan each missed a sitter. Was nervous Guendouzi couldn't handle this type of game but he did well I thought.
The defensive errors were comical. For the first 8 minutes or so your team had us on the ropes. Then you stopped pressing for some reason.

Bailly and Rojo add an element of bite and motivation from the back that I think we've been missing. Both look rusty, which is to be expected, but they're attributes that we're missing and looked at benefit from tonight.
Agree, it was a shame Rojo fecked up but generally thought he ws good tonight. When he went off the defence struggled to get the ball out of defence. It was an entertaining match but my what sloppy football.
I would bin pogba altogether he doesnt gell the team and is just generally a dick head.
