One big problem now is that apathy has set in with a lot of the fans. Those with strong emotions either pro or anti Mourinho at least show some passion.

I have no idea how the 'No' vote hasn't yet made it into the tens.
I don’t know why there is such an obsession with the poll - the majority of those 11% are probably posters who doesn’t frequent this thread as much and probably doesn’t give it much thought.

Challenged for not getting Kroos and Bale for Moyes? Mueller for LVG? I'm sorry but this is just stupid. You seem to want justify all the excuses made by our failed managers in your bid to make it align with your Jose excuses . I told you to also explain how he interfered with Jose you haven't . By interfering you mean not getting fecking Maguire or selling Martial for Willian? And these are supposed to somehow be a reason for the shit these 3 guys have served us? There's enough to slate Woody for,hes inept at a lot of things without resorting to talking pure rubbish. How can a sensible person be talking about LVG not getting anything after the disaster that was almost every LVG signing(same thing for Jose). Even Fergie couldn't get Bale and yet Woody should be getting slated for not getting Bale for Moyes? Do you even think about the shit you post? How was he supposed to do this for feck sake?
Im not excusing any manager for anything. I was asked if I thought it's right that Jose challenged Woodward publically and I thought it was. I'd want any manager to challenge Woodward because he's fecking shite.

He fails to wrap up multiple transfers because of his blue sky thinking and the concept of realism goes out the window.

I'm not referring to wilian or martial before you start mouthing off making shit up about that. I'm referring to him claiming the available transfers would have been 5th choice here (when they fecking wouldn't have) and him name dropping Varane as a player he'd want.

He's not a DoF and he's not meant to get involved in the footballing side really. Talking about quality of centre backs and undermining the manager will only result in challenge back, and rightly so. It doesn't matter if its Mourinho Pep or anyone else.

Now stop saying I'm trying to justify Jose as a manager because I'm not. Read my posts and understand the point I'm making so you can discuss properly or feck off

Conversely, the people that have wanted Mourinho out for months now are 'haters'. You don't like it when the shoe is on the other foot.
When last did I call anyone against Jose a "hater"? If ever that is.

I made that point multiple times and it's not even about Mourinho. If you target players that are playing for managers, cities, clubs that they like you will need to convince them that it's beneficial for them to move. While United can offer more money than most clubs, we don't offer a lot more than other big clubs and at the moment we don't offer any guarantee of big trophies either.

And that there's almost a guarantee that there's no chance of enhancing a player's stand and reputation in the game which I bet is also an important factor for an up-and-coming player or a player on the verge of being put in the world class bracket.

Think people have very rose tinted glasses when it comes to Fergies football.

Changed my vote to no. Mourinho deserves to be humiliated every week, and most of the match going fans deserves him as well.

I never specifically said you did, more-so that's been the general theme for the 'in crowd' throughout this thread, even though it's been proven time-and-again that the majority actively wanted him.

True, that. There should really be a new poll to gauge the general consensus around the place which will obviously be overwhelmingly one sided.

My bad, "you lot" would have been more applicable. I guess at this stage, I kind of forget which pro-Mourinho posters used the 'hate' rhetoric throughout this thread.

Honestly seems like the press are more baffled/annoyed by Uniteds current predicament than half the Old Trafford crowd at this stage. Proper weird.
Its the ABU mentality coming back to haunt us. They were the enemy who wanted us to fail.
Seriously, some need to learn to differentiate the club from the asshole of a manager.

How some Utd fans are accepting of mediocrity is beyond me. Jose has lowered expectations so much so, that he now has the effrontery to mention Utd and a top 6 finish in the same sentence!

Utd are the biggest club in England (pains me to say it but its true). How is the football served up by Jose acceptable?

As a Liverpool fan, I would be tearing my hair out and and demanding Jose gets fired summarily if my club were in Utd’s situation.

At this point I realise that if Mourinho isn't sacked we as a club deserve whatever is coming to us (and it won't be pretty).

Jose will continue to weasel and squirm his way out of any problems by leaking this and that to the press and match going fans (who I usually have utmost respect for, but they have majorly got it wrong on this one) will lap up his steaming piss and call it Chateau Lafite '67. Jose will continue to alienate our best players and we'll end up the season in mid table with De Gea, Pogba and maybe Martial leaving.

Good luck for whoever takes that on when he is sacked 7 months (I would argue 14 months) too late.

Woodward is fecking spineless, but like it or not he is the guy in charge and if he doesn't pull the trigger he is condemning us all........

Like, back circa September or so when I started completely losing faith in Mourinho, I didn't envisage things getting this bad. I mean, feck me, we are pretty much rock bottom at this stage and we have zero identity as a club or on the pitch.

In Woodward's mind, Top 4 is still attainable and so he won't be sacked.

The problem is, he doesn't look capable of winning a game in the league aside from cup competitions. You could argue the Arsenal game was decent management by him and the errors were down to the players. But in other league games, the blame squarely falls on him. I really don't know, maximum we seem capable of is a win here, then a couple of draws, then a loss, then rinse and repeat.

We could be 15 points off 4th by Christmas. Wonder if that would get the board to act.

His post match conference is a gem. "We should have won, we were a better side", "Arsenal came here for a draw", "Arsenal played for a draw"…
Those quotes are absolutely unbelievable. Arsenal certainly took the game to us, and tried to get all three points. In the dying stages we couldn’t even get a hold of the ball to punt it forward.

Re Top 4, we are also 8 points off fifth so we have to hope two clubs go through a rocky spell while we put a run of wins together. It’s basically out of reach already.

I think most people want him gone though. I think people are just sick with the board not doing anything.

Hard to argue with that. It reminds me a little of when Hodgson was in charge at Liverpool. You were clearly headed in the wrong direction, completely wrong fit as a manager. The club took fairly prompt action and got rid.

What was the fan reaction / level of support for Hodgson when it was clearly not working out? Particularly in the stadium among the match going fans? Open hostility or more of a disgruntled quiet, as is happening at Old Trafford?

It was hostility bordering of outright rage.
The soul destroying football he served up week in, week out was unbearable.
After he gave that interview in which he acknowledged Liverpool were in a "relegation fight", many would burnt him at the stake if they could (figuratively speaking of course :p).

Nope, you're a mourinho apologist if you don't like Pogba. At least that's the way it's gone for me last night even though I never mentioned Jose originally before people started demanding a comparison from me.
I get this point, I do. Getting rid of both of these primadonnas is tempting, and would be the best thing to do were we in a position of strength, but to lose both our manager and one of our best players at this point in time is just madness.

There are people like me who don't approve of Pogba's perceived lack of effort or commitment, but would like to see our one world class player be utilised by a manager who'd set the team up to be attack cohesively.

Especially the last few seasons where it was often nothing special. But it was successful, thats the difference.
Well... there were other significant differences, too. I was often complaining about our football in his last few seasons (anyone can look it up) but it was nowhere near to what we're being served week in, week out these days.

8th place, 3 points out of 9 with 2 of them home games and one of them against the second bottom team in the PL. He'd be sacked at Everton or Watford for form like that, nevermind any of the elite clubs, one of which we are supposed to be.
I know what you’re trying to say, and I do also think it’s time Jose left, but I’m pretty sure Everton or Watford would not of sacked their managers if they had the same form as us and were in 8th.
