He looked disgusted at full-time last night, cannot see him here next season which is a shame. Fully understand the lack of movement ahead of him with Mourinho's tactics, or lack of, make it difficult for him but he has an awful tendency to slow it down at times and to be too casual, he's not playing in Italy anymore! We would have hoped he'd have had the character to put this team on his back, as he has the technical ability, but I suspect he'd prefer to be the supporting act on the pitch and the super star off the pitch.
He's a miserable prick, even before the game started and at half time when he was walking down the touchline all the fans were shouting his name and saying positive things so he would look over, when he looked over he gave the dirtiest look like he's being tortured here. Everyone around us noticed, it's clear he really doesn't want to be here and he's not happy.

There's no doubt he is our best player, but that doesn't excuse him from some of the disgraceful performances he has put in, its not even the fact that he has an off day he just doesn't even try! He thinks he is better than us and rather than putting in 100% in every game until he gets his move like a professional, he is just deciding what game he wants to actually turn up and when not. I rather he leave and we get in someone with half his talent who really wants to be here and play for this club.

If a player is just a lazy bastard, I can't get how anyone can transform him magically from lazy to hardworking. Managers aren't responsible for every aspect of what a player does. There's something on the players themselves, obviously.
Sane at City. I'd say a big part of his change in fortunes has been himself finally putting in the effort to match his undoubted ability. Pep had issues with him, he didn't make the Germany world cup team. His workrate was poor, now this season he's been up and down the wings, his workrate has been excellent as has his form. No doubt Pep had some input but the player has to take a big part in it as well and now both are reaping the rewards.

Exactly. Simply a player has a job to do + the manager of course. Otherwise if the player is a hardworker then we should throw the full praise at the manager then as much as we're blaming him for the lazy work rate ? Doesn't make sense. Being lazy or hardworker is something you praise or blame the player for. Putting a suitable formation and putting the player in his correct position and provide the platform for him to perform is something you praise or blame the manager for. Each one has his job to do.

Not sure how people are saying he was lazy when he came on. Pitch side it was anything but.

In the next game or two, Pogba will put up jaw dropping performances and the tone here will change. He will be hailed as the best thing the world has seen since Ruth Graves Wakefield invented cookies. In the game after, Pogba will flop again and the tone here will change again. He will be termed as a scam. In the game that follows that, he will flick, turn and do three cross field crosses that will leave fans eating from his palms. This will go on until Jose is fired, until United finds another super star, until Raola gets Pogba his next big deal.

Here's the thing, I would never have thought a couple of brainless fullbacks like Walker and Mendy would work under Pep, but they are, and remember how Robben evolved at Bayern under Heynckes? With good man management and a consice playing system it's amazing how much more there is to come out of many players.
Reading what I posted I realize the last part of it makes it seem like I say the complete opposite of what I actually meant. I 100% agree with you, I think Pogba would be incredible under a proper manager and not a fraud/dinosaur

Gotcha, I think the same is happening to some of our CB's as well, Mourinho has constructed a narrative since the summer that we desperately need a CB, now I am not saying we couldn't get an upgrade but their performances are bound to suffer when all they hear for months on end is that they need replacing, yet did you see the Mersyside derby? I saw a team with Yerry Mina and Michael Keane play attacking, front foot football away at Anfield with those 2 at CB becuase obviously the man management and system coaching is good, you cannot tell me either of those 2 are better than some of the CB's we have. This manager is distorting everything at the club to defelct from the biggest problem, him.

Anyone have a gif of the booing. I had the volume right down as the little one was sleeping.
Funny how those fans always defend themselves with "what's wrong with showing support at the ground", but when it comes to players like Fellaini and Pogba, that goes out the window. The manager cult is something else. Can't bring themselves to boo the manager, but can boo players.

Hypocritical mods and admin allow it I suppose.

Not surprised at all tbh.

Think there was a thread where a mod was calling a poster a cnut and a dickhead recently and the poster didn't even do anything to warrant it
Didn't Perisic say last week that he had a big offer from ManUtd and he rejected it as he was sold by Spaletti's project? Again thanks for proving my point.
Your response:

Ah OK. Didn't read that

Smarmy cnut

He's our best player, but Mourinho can't get the best out of him, and never will. One of them will have to go.

Sooner Pogba leaves the better for me.

Under performed from the day he arrived.

Wrong attitude for a utd player (which we already knew from his 1st stint here).

A statement signing gone wrong. Big time wrong

I highly doubt you get to be at the level Pogba is at by being a lazy bastard.

He's playing at Sunday league level currently.

Way he loses the ball carelessly and jus stays still doing absolutely nothing about it sums his utd career up for me. Total flop

His attitude stinks, body language is awful, his performances are poor or average at best. He’s not good enough, he’s all hype. Sell him whilst he’s got some time on contract left to get a good price for him. Reading Paul Inces comments before and he’s right. If Pogba was half the player Ince was for us I’d tolerate him more but I’ve had enough now. He’s not good enough, half the squad isn’t

Don't you mean the entire squad seeing as Pogba isn't good enough for you?

I don't understand how fans can back Pogba. He is paid millions to play for our club and he puts in a half arsed attempt.
No matter what I feel about Mourinho, he is not wearing a nursery and playing like he doesn't care. Should just drop Pogba till he wants give a shit.

We know unhappy players don't play to their max. You can discuss the rights or wrongs of that on here to eternity but its kinda irrelevant beyond knowing its a fact. If they were both in season 1 here I'd side with Mou as I think 90% of fans would but Mou had had his time to make it work here. We will hopefully get to see Pogs under another manager before he leaves to Real or wherever. He's obviously got more issues than Mou between him and a Ballon D'or and he wouldn't be the first french maverick to have notions of grandeur...

Feel sorry for him. He should leave for his own good. He's getting the Martial's treatment by our own fans calling him a virus now. He's a great player and deserves better than what he's getting here. Not long ago he was a star player in the WC, he's been our best player since he came back, without him City would have humiliated us at their ground last season. Pogba has giving to this club more than the club gave him back, but he's apparently "a virus".

But Mourinho, the man who have disrespected the club several times, the man who downed tools and is the main reason we're in this shamble, that man Mourinho is worshiped at OT.

What's happened to this club?

I am not on Mourinho's side by anymeans here, and I would choose Pogba any day over him, we aren't in a position to lose good players anymore. However, I am glad that we are playing well without him just to shut up people who overrate him that much. Not worth losing him, but he is nowhere as good as some people make him out to be. He only needs two good performances against weak opposition for some people to call him best midfielder in the league, which is really annoying.

Why back any player outside of de Gea then? That's my problem with you guys who are lapping up Mourinho's rhetoric. I still don't understand how people have forgotten in this very short season thus far how he's been one of our best players. He's on a short leash though while the likes of Matic is able to play lazy and be an automatic starter.

The fans are a bunch of weirdos. They're too noble to boo the manager, but are perfectly fine booing our own players. The hypocrisy is frustrating.

We have never tolerated laziness at this club.
We have and it's called letting Matic play every match. Or did people forget how lazy he was on those goals against Juve? Or does that not count for laziness unless Mou has Castles call him out for being a virus?

Not here to protect the guy as he could leave for all I care. But our manager is working miracles getting our fans hating him. The only one in this dynamic duo that should be shown the door is Mourinho. He clearly doesnt have a clue how to use him and really likes picking those fights vs the biggest stars. Hazard was in the same situation. A new manager should be given the chance of getting the best out of him. But I fully agree his attitude towards us is absolutely shambolic.

This is me just assuming a few things based on his antics, but most players in his current situation would be thinking; how can I improve to get back into the team, sadly I'm pretty confident that Pogba isn't thinking that right now. That is the problem with him in a nutshell.
