His first start in the PL wasn't it? Against Arsenal, and you had mugs saying "he's crap" "not good enough for utd" and now even after the dust has settled people are posting wondering why Jose signed a young prospect? Just pathetic.

Arsenal were dreadful last night, for all the hype, they look very average. It was a typical Arsenal at OT display. We were just equally bad at both ends.

Thing is, they were much better than us at times.

By the way, who was (is) the No 29 who played midfield for Arsenal. What a strange player.. like Bambi on ice...[/QUOTE]

This " it was entertaining " thing is starting to annoy. It wasn't entertaining because of the great football on show, it was because of the comic defending at both ends.

Not really. DDG saved us twice . Can't remember when we tested their keeper and we're the home team that's 8 points behind. Should've sacrificed a bit extra in attack for that last stretch

If you're a team that wants top 4 and you're already far behind the others drawing at home to the team in 4th is a bad result. No two ways about it.

The fact that we played better than we normally do and didn't get battered don't make up for that.

Still fuming.

Rojo, Matic and Fellaini should all have been sent off. Same old United at Old Trafford trying to kick us off the park because we're the better footballing side. I felt this game would be a bridge too far after Spurs but we still should have won but for a stupid Kolasinac error and all our players dropping like flies.

I won't lie but that was the best I've seen United play in a while. If Jose didn't start off so defensive, we might have been blown away in the first 15 minutes. All that pace and direct football but no creativity to go with it.

Shambolic to be very honest. All 4 goals of the game were gifted.

I liked the part where we had an excellent free kick. Haven't seen that for a long while. Let's keep this lineup.

Just got round to watching it.

Played better than at Southampton
Two enormous mistakes by DDG and Rojo gifted Arsenal the goals.

Thought Rojo did ok until then after being out for so long.
Dalot thought was awful defensively but inexperienced.

Herrera and Martial best of the bunch.

But it's still the same tactics, wait till it all goes wrong and then start playing better. Why not impose our game for a change. Our players are at least as good as Arsenal's , just used wrongly.

20m in 2018 is absolutely nothing on a prospect like him.

The stick Dalot was getting last night on here made me ashamed to be a Utd fan, just such a clueless and entitled bunch.
I didn't see much stick merely people observing that he had a shocker last night, which he did. Kolasninac was allowed to run past him on numerous occasions which got Arsenal through. One of the basics of defending is to follow the runner, he spent most of the time looking at the ball.

What I'm saying is he was the wrong player to buy, we should have got someone at RB who was near his prime that would replace Valencia. That hasn't happened and we ended up with an aging, injuried, not good enough Valencia and a youth player with no first team experience that will require at least 2 seasons before he's up to scratch. All of Mourinho's signings bar Zlatan have been a total disaster so far.

And £20m is alot of money for a prospect, he's a RB not a forward player. We act like £20m is nothing, maybe if the club stopped having this attitude we might find some much needed value in the transfer market and be able to stretch the budget.

Yeah, and I've never seen these kind of fouls before. Rojo pulling Auba's leg from a prone position, Fellaini tugging at Guendouzi's hair. You can just imagine Mourinho having instructed his players to stop Arsenal by any means possible.

Yep, some of our players' tactics (well, Rojo and Fellaini) were poor but let's not gloss over the cynical fouls that Arsenal managed to continuously dish out on numerous occasions we had a (rare) chance to break.

lolwut. Watch the highlights of Torreira's night.

And I thought Arsenal got more than enough footballing lessons at Old Trafford in the last decade so that the "you kick us off the park because we're just soooo much better" myth would die at last. Evidently not.

Ofcourse - if you want to play rough, fine but dont cry when you are at the receiving end. I had no issues with Fellaini doing that yesterday given how dirty were Arsenal until that point.

We need more cajones and mad dogs. Nothing to lose now, should just go mental in attack every single game.

I get why you felt Rojo and Fellaini could have been sent off, but Matic?

Hope, We Lose
Two crap defenses and attackers who didnt take real advantage of it

I'm sure fans of the top 4 teams (other than Chelsea who had their own issue last night) enjoyed seeing the lack of quality on display

What? They were leading twice in the game remember. Not us . They lost two points .
And 8th in PL is realistic now?
We earned our 2 goals, while their goals were gifted by us, rather than them being world-beaters.
And by "realistic" , I mean our result against Arsenal, not our league position.

I might be confusing Matic with someone else but I'm sure he had two yellow card worthy tackles or I was unhappy with his tackle that got him the yellow card. I was also surprised by that small push on Holding by Rashford, unnecessary.

I don't think we were exceptionally dirty.

You aren't serious about earning your goals are you? All four goals in the match were gifts. Herrera was offside for your first and Kolasinac created your second for you.

I really liked Martial's performance yesterday, particularly good on the occasions he had to deal with the out-ball, showing signs of the hold-up play that we witnessed in his 1st season at the club.
I just wished he'd manage to keep his balance in the Arsenal box the one time he shifted the ball behind his leg to rid himself of two arsenal players before running into a third.

Whilst it was rash, we mostly played the ball out of defence well until the substitutions.
And I thought if it wasn't for his occasional brainfarts, Rojo is fearless and technically a sound footballer.

I wouldn't have said you were ditry but there was quite a bit of play acting from Torreira and a couple of thers that was irritating.

Trying to work out if you are a wum or naive. They lost 2 points? They... We are the ones playing at home, we are the ones who are in 8th place, we are the ones who need to pick up points against our rivals to catch them. We lost 2 points not them. I imagine they are dissappointed with the result as in the last 15 mins they looked more likely to go on and win the game. However make no mistake about it, this was another s*ite result for Utd another 2 points dropped.

Well, again, I apologise if I offended you.
@haram @Yagami I'm impressed guys. This is probably one of the few times I've seen posters on here understand each other, and apologize once they realised it got a bit too heated. Kudos to you guys.

The forum could do with more such posters!

Don't bother, they'll be saying he's top 5 in the world after two performances.

Care to explain. The second one was all Rojo!
They conceded two comedy goals too. It is not only us that were funny. They were too. We only missed the Drogba Lehmann comedy act and it would have been perfect for yesterday.

If we had a better option than Lignard for the 10 role, I would really favor this formation moving forward.

Culpable or not, yer man from la-la land is suggesting Ed Woodward should be shot which let's be honest is a bit harsh, sent to bed with no supper maybe, or.....
Woodward needs to be not involved in the footballing side of the operation, he is an investment banker.
Not sure who is suggesting he be shot, that is ridiculous.
