They did replace Laporte with Inigo Martinez from La Real, guess he hasn't matched expectations as we was also being linked to Man. City not so long ago. Kepa certainly big miss.

Said before their problem is in attack. Season too far for Aduriz, Williams level has stalled and Raul Garcia can't seem to last 90 minutes so used more as impact sub.
Martinez can be good, but I like Yeray and Nunez.

Núñez, the former Barça president died today. A top president. Maradona, Cruyff, the Mini Estadi, La Masía,etc

He has decided to go to three CB's. The kid in the middle has just been sent off. I am surprised he didn't have Yeray in there if he wants to do that. They were in the game until conceding a goal right at the end of the first half and as usual cannot seem to manage the second half of games. Don't put the ball in the net and there is good chance you will lose the game. Sorry to say we really are missing Kepa and Laporte and their fans are going to have to realise that.

I still prefer Williams wide running at people, but they want him to be a striker as Aduriz is coming towards the end.
Exactly. They badly need to strength the team in january and i don't they can find some good players only in the Basque Country.

Garitano is the Bilbao Athletic coach, so is this just temporary? His recent record as a manager has seen him sacked a couple of times.

Anyone else watched Levante Lugo? One of the best 0-0s I've seen. Should be 5-3 or something, stupid amount of big chances.

Yeah think he was at Depor a few years ago and didn't last long.

Real Sociedad also have a Garitano as manager, Asier. Are they brothers?

How long until City is after Rodrigo Hernandez (Atlético) as Fernandinho replacement? Seems perfect for Pep.

Best chance the likes of Sevilla, Atleti, Valencia and even others like Alaves or Espanyol will have in a while and they just keep fecking it up time and time again.

Valencia 1-1 Sevilla FT, last minute equalizer for Valencia

Messi  insane awareness to pick out Dembélé there, and what a finish from him. Blistering strike. 2-0

Best game from Messi this season, alongside Spurs away. Everytime he is on the ball is magic.

Agreed, he's already given two inch-perfect assists to Suárez who failed to put them away.
Now he's hit the post with a header on the rebound, should've scored probably.

Looked like an exciting game, close for the first 15 and Espanyol somewhat threatening. Barca get a get free kick on the 18th, Messi with their first shot of the match and it's a perfect free kick. Messi proceeds to go ham and Espanyol need to squeeze more luck than they've managed to get anything out of this match.

I've seen Espanyol play way worse in this derby, they haven't even been bad. Barca have just been very good.

Sucks for Spurs because I don't think that they'll rest many players on Tuesday.

Oh my, Suarez made a meal out of a very difficult angle from Dembele's pass. Amazing finishing. Barcelona are just playing out of their mind in this game.

From the replay it doesn't look like that goes in if it doesn't hit the inside of Diego López' foot. Should be an own-goal but I think they'll give it to Suárez.
Barça have indeed had an extra spring in their step that had been missing since the Spurs game.
Espanyol still looked threatening even at 2-0 down. That third will probably have killed it off unfortunately.
