Eddie Howe if they follow the path they chose for Pochettino. I would like to see that, chance of English manager to get regular CL experience and he'd fit their policy of promoting youth players into first team squad.

Spurs got more standing in europe now so they could just as easily attract a decent european manager. Jardim would be good fit if he's still available next summer.

Surely not Mourinho??!!

The team whose manager leaves to manage Spurs, who do you think will be their next manager?

to paraphrase Glaston, if they "have any sense", they'd go after Eddie Howe.

Howe gets loads of times to bed in his style of play, no real pressure on anything, and Tottenham get a guy who plays decent football.
Win win.

Piss-take thread for our resident Spurs posters.

Hold on to your horses. These hypothetical threads can happen later.

Eddie Howe I reckon.
I'm with you on that. He's one of the longest standing Prem Managers, so he knows the ins and outs. When you consider his success throughout his management years; you get a good man who isn't afraid of much. I also think he wouldn't be scared of the leap to United like others we can't mention. Give him a top notch DoF and he'd succeed.

Was dicking around when I said Giggs earlier if it wasn't obvious.

Genuinely - Nuno.

Mate, watching that press conference today...

I think it's pretty obvious what he's thinking ;)
Why? Is that the first presser you have seen from Poch? It's how he always has been . When asked about Madrid last season he said it's up to Levy where I go. Same sort of stuff as today.

I don’t see why he would want to jump from a steady ship, to our cluster feck of a boat. He didn’t want to go to Madrid because he was smart enough to see their problems. I can’t for the life of me think why he’d take on our never ending nightmare. And no, money is not a good enough answer. He can get paid well wherever he goes.

Who says that Pochettino actually wants the poison chalice job at OT.

More likely Real Madrid.
Madrid job is quite the poison chalice too, and they are in a bit of a crisis themselves post-Ronaldo. Their hot seat is far from stable, much less so than United. I'm not saying he'd pick United over Madrid. I honestly think he'd choose to stay at Spurs over the two. Neither of us are an attractive prospect right now, Madrid and United both need an overhaul, whereas he has a good thing going at Spurs.

This thread is hilarious.

Though I am looking forward to the potential meltdown Spurs fans have this summer.

I've seen you say this before, is that the first Poch pressed you have seen? He said the exact Sam effect thing in the summer, *Its up to Levy not me* etc or something to that order. Again I can give you qoutes from the guy but you wil simply say they are lies so I won't bother, I can't say for certain he will be with us next season but IMO he will be.

He'd signed a whopping contract just days before the Madrid job came up didn't he? That and Zidane leaving such a ridiculous feat to try and match meant it could have easily have turned sour in Moyes-esque timescales.

Now he has the perfect scenario. See if he can finally realise Tottenham's best squad in living memory, and if not, can move into the top job in the country, which may or may not come up for him again.
Like someone said elsewhere, football is so fickle there's no guarantee Poch will be as sought after in 5 years, so he can't necessarily just wait for next time - there may well not be one.

I don't think there will be a meltdown, il be extremely dissapointed but we will move on again, I don't see it happening.
Possibly not to us but, if Levy pulls his no cash to spend shit again don't be too surprised if he ends up at either Madrid, us or somewhere else.

And, if we're being honest we all know you lads won't have any cash for the foreseeable with the new stadium thing.

Mate I said *could* no one knows what he thinking, IMO he will still be with us.
I said the same thing about my ex... she fecked off with someone else shortly after though. On a serious note, I think poch’s Spurs project is coming to an end. Doesn’t mean he will be interested in managing the messy project we are presenting to him though

Pardew doing the rumba with Levy during the signing on the new stadium field would be a site.

Not sure if Poch will leave them next summer but whenever he goes they'll go for Eddie Howe. Seems most logical choice for them.
