We need a poll. I reckon it would be a terrible idea, much as we enjoyed today.

Not the best idea right now mate. We've only beaten Cardiff and he's not even a week into the job. Let's wait and watch.

Edit.. tbf I see you're completely against the idea that we give him the job till time, but I'd still wait and watch to see how this goes.

There's more we have to see. His current gig is making the most of an already talented squad whereas the permanent job is about building one and sustaining success with it

Guys, come on, we've had over 90 minutes of football to judge him by now. If we can't make an informed decision by now, when can we?

We'll see how it goes. No manager should be given a long term contract at United at the moment with the job that is at hand right now.

Give mom time, if he closer to the top 4 then he started, beats PSG and a very good FA cup run, then maybe just maybe.
I agreed with Tim Sherwood, he has the easiest job in football just tell the players to go out and play with freedom

Stop it. That’s Ed way of thinking right there. Given the clusterfeck that was Mourinho’s extended contract, maybe we should only employ caretaker managers from now on.

I think we are blowing our load a little too early lads.

1 game...yes we all know...

But by making this decision early in the season the board have given a chance for something special to arise.

If things go well we could end up with the soul of Ferguson back in the changing room. Ole leading, Phelan assisting. Just how much Ferguson knowledge do they both have to draw on! Red through and through.

There would be no reason to blast compensation money on Pochettino. No reason to negotiate with Levy. No reason to rip a freshly reinvigorated soul right back out of the football club for the sake of Poch/Zidane or anyone else for that matter.

This could be an absolute masterstroke that was worth paying more compo to Mou before it was mathematical.

Enjoy today everyone. Just think about today, the here and now, and get that smile and feel good locked in. It's a special, emotional day full of romanticism, release and relief.

If Ole keeps us playing well and gets us a top four finish why should he be sacked? Is there any other manager out there who is going to have us looking much better than that?

PS) Don't tell me its only one game like we have not been spanked at places like Brighton and West Ham this season.

Couldnt get a better start like this, was a fantastic match but lets take 1 match at a time like he said and enjoy the ride. Gonna be very interesting to see how the next matches will work out, and specially against tougher opponents! I mean if we beat fecking PSG and go deep into the CL while keep winning matches in the PL, I think Woodward can have a hard time not making him our permanent manager!

It's far too early to be talking about this. We have 6 months to access.

I'm guessing if the game against Huddersfield four days from now is also a win, someone here will make a poll about who is the better manager of Ole and sir Alex.

I agree on a poll. After a month. Today wouldn't be a fair reflection.
Best thing about polls is that people can change their votes whenever they like. So you can see the direction of travel. Watching the Jose out vote creep up was always intriguing. It doesn't need to be seen as a snapshot.

He's undone Moyes' failings by getting back some of the old staff.
It's a long way to before we consider him permanently though.

I'd love it.

I think we just need to see how organised we are against a side that attack us.
