YESHHHHH, We'll GOOO for it.
Ultra popular, knows the club inside out, seems to have a good head on his shoulders.

Too early to say but can he our own zidane? Only chance for it to come true is he wins the cl and leads us to 1st or 2nd place. What chances does he have?

Optimists unite!!!

Under soil heating.
One game. Let’s hope he turns out as good as possible. It would be massively tough to win the CL this season, even if we weren’t on the back of a dreadful start.

What an incredible game it was as well - arguably our most positive team performance since SAF retired.

You would be crazy to bet against Ole and United winning the CL this year. It's nailed on.

Wtf do you mean by can! He is our Zidane. OGS will lead us to wins in our next 33 games and we're winning the treble in his first half season (Obviously Mou will take credit for the 26 league points and for sealing our qualification into the KO stages)

Both Zidane and OGS took over mid season, both took over from dislikeable managers from our perspective, both had scored a goal in CL finals.

All big teams except Spurs lost their corresponding fixture this week. The stars are realigning for the ole to cover the 19 point gap to the top

Christ, all these OGS threads after one match, it's embarrassing. Relax lads, enjoy the Xmas and don't get too excited.

Yeah, he could also be our Tim Sherwood.

I'm confident he can do a good job though

The state of this place if we score 5 against Huddersfield.

I'm with you though. If OGS manages to get us rolling and we get results but just miss major objectives such as CL, top 4, and FA Cup, I'd be okay with giving him the the job. We might have to pay Spurs a ridiculous amount to sign Poch. Those funds could be spent on a player. Don't get me wrong, I'd like Poch to be our next manager but Woodward would be a fool if Ole turned this team around and he didn't give him the opportunity.

If it goes tits up, fair enough. He's not good enough and he was only ever here to finish the season. We could miss out on Poch too.

5? After Saturday’s result anything less than 6-0 is unacceptable!

Maybe? It's been one game.

What a weird thread.
I think it is what it is: a short-term fix with the club already making overtures to the new man. It's the footballing equivalent of chuck and chance it with Ole and we might end up in a better position. But if it doesn't work out and we miss out on Europe again, well, it's no fault of Ole or the Board.

Why not?

Club legend, who has came back to the club in a managerial capacity. Of course he was managing our reserves before - similar to what Pep and Zidane did. Difference is, they went straight into the first team, whereas Solskjaer did a stint at Cardiff and Molde.

Unfortunately, Cardiff wasn't great and i'm not familiar about his current record at Molde, but as he said in his press conference, he's had a lot more experience since then and has learnt from his mistakes.

I'd personally love for him to do well and get the job on a permanent basis. Couldn't have had a better start with the victory over Cardiff, but we have to remember that it's only one game and that we won't score five in every game.

Take every game as it comes and if he can get us playing attractive football and possibly win a cup and/or finish top four, then I would give it him.

Only time will tell, let's just focus on the present season now and by April we are all a bit wiser on the topic.

Realistically wise I think we shouldn't be looking for a manager now. The priority currently should be to get a DOF, then by Feb we can start thinking if Ole is good enough for the role or get a new manager next season, but currently DOF should be the priority, let's put the new manager talks aside for some time till we can evaluate what will Ole provide here.

My wit's end
Between Busby and SAF, we had 4 managers (O'Farrell, Doherty, Sexton, Atkinson).

Between SAF and Ole, we had 4 managers (Moyes, Giggs, LvG, Mourinho).

Ole isn't our Zidane. He's our new Ferguson.

The third coming.

Yes, obviously he could.

He has more experience than either Pep or Zidane had before taking their big roles. Unlike both, however, he's faced a few challenges along the way, and, in my opinion, would stand a much better chance of building a side like United back up from the position they are in.

Zidane quit when he saw the challenge this season would be, where as Pep has only ever accepted jobs where he can slip his feet into some nicely preheated slippers.

That said, I'm still more inclined to think Pochettino.

If you think that, I don't think that supporting a football team is for you.
Yeah right:lol:

You don't want to go there pal. If you want to lay your credentials down as a fan....I'd love to see them:lol:
