    -----------------------Romero------------------------
    Dalot-------Darmian------------Jones-------Young
    -------------Fred----------------Andreas---------
    Chong----------------Greenwood----------Alexis
    ------------------------Lukaku--------------------

-Lindelof for Jones at half time
    -Gomes on after 60 minutes

hoping to see Chong and Greenwood starting.

Alexis and Lukaku are definite starters as they need minutes under their belt.

Maybe Fellaini to come in if Ole feels the midfield is a bit lightweight.

    Dalot Jones Rojo Young
    Fred Fellaini

Thought I saw Chong with the squad against Newcastle so I expect him to start against Reading.

Reading haven't won in 9 games. They have won just 1 away game in their last 22 attempts.

A heavily rotated team would be a very bad idea . We have seen this happen far too many times in cup competitions and it often ends up with us being knocked out after a completely uncoordinated performance.

I hope there are not too many changes to the spine of the team and the likes of lukaku, Mata and Sanchez play in their right positions. Also hoping for a full match for fred and fellani in the middle.

Easy 2-0, 3-0 or even 4-0 even with our B team. Play Valencia and Mata for this game and drop both for Spurs in favor of Young and Lingard.

    Dig up stupid!
Taking my lad to his first game so he's really excited - me too tbf it's a big father-son moment.

Sooo pleased mou got the bullet as this could've been dreadful for him! I know at least we'll be on the front foot and they'll be plenty of songs for him.

Any side should win comfortably really

Is mctominay fit? Can see him starting in midfield with Fred and Pereira if so, although I’d prefer to see Gomes or Garner.

I'd like to see a lot of rotation and Chong, Greenwood and Gomes coming off the bench.

I was thinking this. Some of the line ups on here it seems like they want us to throw away our best chance of a trophy.

The commentator in the Bournemouth match did.
I'm not sure, there is no mention of it elsewhere.

I know people want to see youth as well, but players like Lukaku and Sanchez need game time. I think it will actually be Sanchez - Lukaku - Mata which should be more than enough to be a couple goals up so that we can bring on the likes of Gomes, Chong and Greenwood.

I would love it if Greenwood started, reading fc is rubbish, we could easily beat them with him starting and a close to full strength team around him.

    Experienced keeper - Romero/DDG
Back 4 from the first team squad..
Fred - Pereira - Fellaini in midfield
    Sanchez-Lukaku in the front 3

Leaves 1 spot open for a reserves player.. Chong / Gomes/ Greenwood..

Rotation time, and game time off the bench for youngsters, hopefully.

    ------------------Pogba-----------------------
    ------Lingard-----Lukaku----------Sanchez

SUBS - Pereira (Fred), Greenwood (Lukaku), Gomes (Sanchez)

    Man United 4 - 0 Reading

    Romero
    Dalot smalling Rojo darmian
    Andreas fellaini Fred
    Mata lukaku Sanchez

Think Valencia May need to play this game to get some games under him. As young & Shaw will play against Spurs.

Greenwood, Chong & Gomes to come on and make a impact.

I would think that De Gea, Shaw, Matic, Herrera, Pogba and Rashford would be left out the squad for this, if Dalot is unavailable, then I can see Valencia playing at RB, would give Laird a run out at LB if he was fit, have Young on bench as cover. Pick the fittest out of Darmian, Jones and Lindelof for the two CB positions. Fred, Pereira and Fellaini in midfield three, Lukaku and Sanchez front two, Mata as a 10, with Grant, Lingard, Gomes, Garner, Chong and Greenwood on bench.

Agreed. Two or three of the most heavily used players need a rest, but that’s as far as it should go.

    Yeah this is exactly right

Make a few simple changes, bring in the recently returned players like Lukaku and Sanchez as starters, and generally keep the same team bar a few odd changes. Have some of the youth lads on the bench, so if all goes well they can get 20-30 at the end

The one good thing about rotating heavily for this game is we're playing a team that is bottom of the Championship. So I think we'll cope even with a second choice XI as long as the front 3 is experienced.

We shouldn't be putting youngsters like Chong, Greenwood and Gomes straight into the starting XI. They should come on if we have a comfortable lead like 2-0.

I hope De Gea starts. I wouldn't be taking any chances with Romero, who, imo, is a calamity.

    De Gea
    Dalot Lindelof Jones Yong
    Fred Pereira Fellaini
    Greenwood Lukaku Sanchez

What do you base this opinion on? Not his performances for United, as he's been pretty much excellent for us, every time he's been called upon...

He cost us a game already this season in the Carabao.
Yes an error by coming outside his error very slightly. Cost us the game is harsh, we should have blown Derby away. Please feel free to highlight his other errors, as I'm of the opinion he's one of the best no2 keepers in the league and we hardly miss Dave when he plays.
