Paul Scholes reviewing the decision in the studio and saying that it was not red. He is really biased against Pogba.
These ex players have had it in for the club and the players since Giggs didn't get the job. Scholes was a brilliant footballer but whenever he opens his mouth he speaks gibberish. Neville was a good pundit but since he got sacked by Valencia he is a moaning grumpy cnut. That's why Beckham will always be the best. He gave his heart to the club and made a career for himself outside of football after. Nicky is also great. Scholes and Neville are nothing but bias against Pogba and others while they overhype English players and never say a word against pals like Valencia.

Cowards like him is why VAR will get criticised next season.
He'll leave it all to the referees in the back and turn the game into a crawl.

He's been phoning it in for a few years now. Didn't he give a foul against us a few weeks back that he couldn't have even seen as his back was to it?

For anyone who needs reminding of how utterly clueless and shit Marriner is, we ended up with more yellows than Newcastle did.

The standard of refereeing in England is appalling.

Assuming that as he saw the Shelvey tackle he will be dropped next week. It was one of the easiest reds you'll see and he didn't even give a yellow.

Needs demoting after his performance last night. Rashford and Pogba could have been done with hammers and he'd still have kept his cards in the pocket.

My favourite Marriner moment last night was when one of our players got clattered (again) in midfield and he just jogged past ignoring it and then when we picked up the loose ball a second later he raised his hands for play on - such a cowardly shithouse way of “acknowledging” the foul.

If Newcastle had picked up the ball you can guarantee he wouldn’t have blown.

Well if you just use your eyes you can see Shelvey's boots mark on the back of Paul's shorts, how can he said it was not a red and kept a straight face was beyond me.

If that was Pogba on Shelvey he would have sent him off and we would never hear the end of it.

That’s my problem with Marriner he’s a complete homer. He’d favour the home team give every half free kick to the home side and then let them do whatever they want too.

Shit ref, but normally pleased to see him take charge of one of our home matches for this exact reason.

What a disgrace of a ref.

Demote him to reffing a literal chess match. Only thing he could handle.

I'll always remember Clattenburg's interview about trying to control the narrative and making the title race go to the final game will certainly get the viewers in like the FA want, this guy will probably get a nice bonus for this.

Football is fast becoming WWE levels of scripted crap.

Yeah. Such a homer that he is the man who failed to send Michael Brown off for taking Giggs out by the knee against Fulham all those years ago.

It was blatant rigging by the officials or blatant incompetence by the officials. I hope their internal assessment will mean they are taken off matches next weekend. Not administering a red to Arnold for the hand ball on the line & not administering two cautions for the two cautionable offenses by Milner 30 seconds apart were but two of the shit the bed moments from the match today.

TAA avoided the red card because Newcastle scored. He should have gotten a yellow card for handball.
Fabinho dived in the end but he was fouled. I've seen it multiple times and it was correct. The free kick was only given after he went down because the advantage was gone.

It seems like that is the case, doesn't it. He is a master of disregarding the obvious this guy, he was picked for a reason I guess.

That rarely happens. Newcastle has "nothing to play for" and their points "doesn't matter" so obviously the "impartial decision" is to use "common sense" and not ruin the title race with a "big decision". That's how they'll view it. You are 100% correct, there should be retrospective punishment for Marriner after such a disgraceful performance.

The whole fecking crew needs to be demoted, especially that assistant referee who made the call for Fabinho. The fourth official should have brought Arnold’s incorrect punishment administration to Mariner at halftime either privately or with the rest of the crew (I couldn’t see who the fourth official was, but he had to be another PL center official & needed to ensure that the same sort of idiocy didn’t permeate into the second half). As far as the other assistant referee, the only official who didn’t make a glaring feck up, he should be demoted simply due to proximity to the shitshow.
