It does have a lot to do with how overrated Bailly is, and how poor he's been over the last year in particular. However, Lindelof has got better, like others have said, he looks like Blind Mk2 in the making. Can't ever see him being a stand out CB, but a good squad option (when we improve our defence). Hopefully he can buck the trend and stay fit and actually be available unlike the rest of the CB posse.
Yes true, but in fairness to Bailly, he looked like a really top defender in his first few months, now looks way too rash and a bit clumsy but he can definitely still improve.
I agree that lindelof still only looks good not great, but still at least looks worth what we paid. And as others say blind was a decent player, very good reader of the game and passer but lacked pace and strength for the league, I think lindelof has a bit more pace than him alright.
Good to see him improving but no need to say he will be amazing I suppose.

He's quicker, but not by much, really. Lindelof is still not the fastest. A yard or two more pace and I would be very happy with him.
More than raw pace,he seems to be a little slow on the turn...That’s more of a problem for me.Even John Terry didn’t have raw pace,he certainly wasn’t the quickest but he was very good on the turn.Lindelofs dong much better now,but I still need to see more for him before I can be convinced that he has the attributes to be a Man United Centre half....

And how does he fare (currently) when compared with our other CBs?
Probably the best of the bunch. Bailly has the most potential with his great speed and strength, but he's always been a bit wild in his play, he'd need to have that coached out of him to be a top player, dunno if that's possible. I'd keep him and Lindelof in the hope they develop. Jones is too mishap and injury prone to be reliable. Smalling is okay defending the box but too limited going forward. Rojo's just plain not good enough.

I agree. I'm not sure if he is slower than others, or just one of those players that looks slow when in reality he's more than fast enough.

An on form Lindelof and Bailly could make a great partnership and they compliment each other. How frequent that occurs is a problem at the moment but hopefully the coaches can change that.

I think that's down the the level of his fitness, physicality and tenacity. He's pretty much work in progress although those mistakes can be improved Upon with some gym time and proper diet, he could be quicker in one on one's and getting in the firing line.
