It seems you don't like him much?
I have no agenda against him, i love what he brings on the ball but if you cant dominate the midfield when teams attack you, then i don't see us being a actually being a top tier team like this. It's not just one dominant centre half who will make the difference putting up a fight in the midfield matters.

He couldn't do it all by himself and either way defensive work isn't his primary task. All of midfield fell a notch in the 2nd half.

Do you really think so? I thought Spurs were the better team for most of the match apart from an excellent 20 min spell in the first half from Utd. You will play much better than this I'm sure but to say that was the best since the mid 90's is kinda strange.
DDG did what was asked of him. He made the saves and if there was a rebound he directed it to the side and not in front of the goal. Spurs could have finished better though. Once Utd. went up. it was up[ to Spurs to take the game to Utd. My biggest concern was the lack of ability to hold possession for a long stretch in the second half.

To be "a mediocre player without class", as some continue to claim with a fool's persistence, Lindelof is surprisingly fast in both the head, legs and feet. The acceleration also seems quite ok.
He has improved over the last few weeks no doubt about that. I suppose the run of victories and the way the team is playing as a whole has given him the confidence he needed to find the form that got him a contract at Utd.
He looked poor when he first joined us but with a bit of luck and hard work he could prove to be a good long term buy.
And if he looks decent playing alongside Jones he must be bloody good because Jones worries me all the time.

No, just citing it as a relevant factor.

But I suppose another way of looking at it is that maybe we'll be battle-hardened and more match fit after having just played a strong team (Chelsea) and you'll be all soft and zoned out from soaking up the sun in Dubai.

Anyhow, I expect us to beat you and think we will.

Well, feck me - what an experience. Went to this one sitting in the home end. I know the tickets eventually went on general sale but I was surprised by how many United fans were in there alongside me. Clusters of United fans in the home end standing up and celebrating, Spurs fans doing feck all.

It's easy to single out a player when the team is underperforming, Pogba without the ball is obviously infective, but so were the other offensive players in the second half, my concern was with our defensive ones, Matic and Herrera could'nt hold he ball long enough to stem Tottenhams forward play, Linderlöf had another good game, but Jones was a nightmare to watch, Young and Shaw were full of enthusiasm but still concerned me with their positioning at times, we desperately need a leader in the heart of defense, we're on the crest of a wave at the moment but we can't rely on DDG having a worldy every week.
