I think Fergie did want to sign him, when he was a teenager.
We're yet to see any proof of that, don't remember us ever being linked to him while he was at Everton between 2008-2013 either.

Anyone know what his salary is? I expect there is interest in him but not from clubs big enough to pay his likely v high wages...

No one wanted to pay him more than we were offering. Big difference.
Sure there's a difference, but still relevant, as it's relevant to demand, and now clubs have to pay a transfer fee. It didn't appear that there was much interest in him at all.

I can see him somewhere like West Ham.

Sounds like Ole is fully aware what Felli can bring in to the table. Good.
You really havent paid any attention at all to what Ole has been doing have you?

He hasnt bad mouthed anyone, or been negative about anyone, only positive.

He knows Fellaini is shit, he doesnt need to say it in public as there could be a chance he has to put the lump on the pitch, for instance if all the other players are kidknapped by inter dimensional space terrorists and replace with egg cups.

So he needs to be positve so as not to cause disruption.

Sounds like has has payed attention to what Ole has been doing, as he basically said the same thing in less words.

Looks like he's off to China

Wonderful servant, not my cup of tea as a player but wish him all the best

Surprised there hasn’t been a new thread started to discuss the confirmation of his departure.

It's so strange how casually and quickly he got sold after years of people clamouring for it to happen

A massive sign of the lowering of standards over the years that most of us had probably decided that he was a "decent" option at times.

If we had a final tomorrow who are people going to want on the bench? Fellaini, Fred or Pereira? I really don't agree with selling him now. Perhaps the club felt like they wouldn't be able to sell him in the summer or something.

Surely the departures of Fellaini and Valencia (at the end of the season) means we are signing a CM and FB
Add a CB & RW and I think we will be ready to compete

selling Fellaini and keeping Peirera and Mctominay is fecking stupid.

Celebrating his departure is fecking disgusting.

We should had secured another midfielder before we shifted him, or should waited until the summer, what the feck 10 m pounds mean for a team like united??

he is a decent substitute, he scored 22 goals in 5 years, 22 goals many united respected players did not reach. But again ; if we were going to shift him and I agree that we should do that in the summer, shouldnt we start with players much worse than him like Mctominay and Peirera?

Yes, celebrating his departure and fans calling him names is disgusting and sounds more like fans of other teams not united. The reality is, if it wasnt for his goal against young boys, our team would be watching the 16 round of the UCL from the couch.

Im glad the fecking donkey is gone. He represented everything wrong with the post Fergie era. Never a United player.

Any pics of him signing his contract at the Chinese club?

Good luck to him, hope he does well out there for himself.

And some footage of him leaving Carrington.

Good luck Fellani. A great contract to set you and your family up for life.

You can also leave proud and with your head held up high. Always tried and was very useful on occasion

There’s a bigger picture to this though. Why on earth did we need Marouane Fellaini to save us vs Young Boys? It’s downright embarrassing, and a reflection of the state we were in, rather than him bring some hero. Good riddance to situations like that, which were brought on by the hideous football we played as a result of him bring on the field.

Was never a fan but to give him abuse on here when he’s left is not needed. We knew what we were getting when we signed him , it’s not as if we were getting an iniesta that turned out rubbish.
He turned out poorer than we expected just like the manager that bought him just to say we signed someone.
Jose loved him as it suited his outdated tactics.
No one can say he never gave 100% because he always did he just wasn’t Utd quality .

Hope he does alright in China.
