Would be surprised if Inter let him go for loan option + 35m. They wanted 50m from us in the summer. Now it is January and he signed an extension previously. They should do a trade with Özil IMO.

Perisic will fit them and Emery well, because he adds grit and some fight to them. They need that for top 4.

Emery wasn’t kidding when he said all Arsenal can do is loan deals. They’re aiming quite high with their loan targets I’ll give them that.

Yeah right, still a loan deal isnt great for them. But again Perisic hasnt got great numbers this season, maybe good time to move him on from their perspective, not sure if anyone outside of China would give them 35m for him next summer at 30 years of age.

Could be a good short term signing. Interesting how many deals nowadays seems to be loans with an option to buy. Very safe from a buyer's perspective but not ideal for the seller.

A loan would actually be a nice option for us.

I don't like January signings and seems daft to invest more cash in players before a DOF and manager are confirmed, but this could work.

I'm probably more inclined to not rock the boat this month, but the Henrik Larsson loan was lovely.

Aww...poor Ivan. He wants us now eh? I won't mind him to be honest. But if he goes, maybe Nicolas Pepe might just appear on our radar. Martial - Rashford - Pepe could be the next devastating trio in this era of trios.

Perisic has looked well off the pace this season, don’t think this would be a particularly smart signing for them. They’ve a couple of players the wrong side of 30 already, they’d be better off going for a younger alternative.

They are skint.
I understand this logic on the basis that Kroenke is tightening the purse strings, but there’s no excuse for any Premier League club to be ‘skint’ in this day and age with the vast sums involved with television deals, stadium and shirt sponsorship, commercial deals etc.

Some shit about their wage bill. Think it's bollocks personally.

Under a tree.
Some rumours are Arsenal are trying to offload Ozil to anytakers (most probably, a Chinese team) and Persic is who they are lining up to replace him.
If they manage that this window I think they would have done quite well getting Ozil wages off their book and replacing him with someone quite decent who is willing to work for the team

This boat has sailed, hopefully Martial will sign an new contract so there's no need for him, we have Martial/Sanchez/Rashford who can all play that position.

40 million € and he's your. Inter don't mind about selling him for the right price, but on loan its laughable especially from a English Premier League supposed top club like Arsenal, come on man aren't you guys one of the richest boys in the world?

We loaned Tomasz Kuszczak a few years ago for reasons I was not clear on. I'm guessing its financially a better deal for them to loan rather than buy at this time.

Unai probably likes the experience Perisic brings too. I still don't get it though. Seems like a lot to fork out for a position that shouldn't be priority.

They want a loan with an option to buy because they aren't going to pay up next summer anyway

Inter and Perisic can feck off after all the messing around they did the past couple of transfer windows. Hope we don't sell Inter a virus.

Glad we didn’t sign him, nor McGuire, Alderweireld and Rebic. Supposedly those were Mourinho’s targets, none of them is having a good season so far, proving Woodward right at least about them.

10m on loan should be the minimum plus 35m option to buy, anything less than 10m on loan means Arsenal is dreaming if they think they can take away one of their main man in mid season just like that.

No way Inter are able to pay the wages Ozil is on and just can't see Ozil lowering his demands that much.

I doubt Woodward came to the conclusion that these players weren’t good enough on his own. There’s someone in that board pulling strings.

Surely, but whoever it was he was right. Wrong about not bringing anyone, but right about those.
