PSG is just good at beating weak teams, and wanted revenge after losing to Guinguamp 10 days ago.

Overall the interest in L1 is as high as ever meanwhile it never did really profit from its periods of highest competitiveness.
I am not anti Ligue 1 or PSG but even for you would be better at least to have someone who challenges you every season. I agree there are interesting things like watching always young talents coming in, but this part has to be addressed imo.

It's up to the other top clubs to gain more consistency (but they can't because L1 is much more competitive than outside observers would think), Monaco is in relegation zone, Marseille are also terrible and Lyon isn't top 3 either. Without PSG Lille would be favourites for the title while they were struggling with relegation last season and are likely to fall just as hard the next one.

L1 titles decided again by who is the less crap with the winners in the 70s or even 60s points all the while achieving nothing in Europe wouldn't do much good for French football.

Rennes equalize vs PSG

Mighty lucky not to be down to 10, though.

Rennes doing bloody gods work ATM.. Kicking everything, nasty challenges and not surprisingly PSG aren't coping with that.

It's not lucky, playing against PSG you're immune to negative refereeing decisions.

Quite a long time I didn't watched a Ligue 1 match. Lille easily dismantling Nice 2:0 at HT.

Important victory here for Monaco vs Toulouse. They added a mix of experienced players with some promising ones this month. I think it will be enough to stay. @JPRouve Carlos Vinicius is on loan or what?

Yes, he is on loan. By the way, Golovin is starting to show his talent, that's a good sign.

Quite a while I didn't watched Monaco.

Let me make the point. Gelson is dumb as a rock but has pace and even if he can be frustrating he probably will assist a lot of players even if he misses a shitload of them.

Adrien knows Jardim but it was 5 years ago they worked together, while Carlos Vinicius is a raw talent who can be developed and used as a alternative option to Falcão. Porto was interested on him and if I am not wrong he belongs to Napoli who signed him from a second tier club here in Portugal.

You are right about Golovin and I will add Fabregas or even Lopes coming back will help.

PSG leading Lyon away 1-0, ADM with the goal. Almost 15 minutes played.

This is as close to the lineup that will play us, IMO.

Ole and Mickey P spotted in the crowd.

Excellent play by Depay sets up Bertrand Traore and then Dembele (remember him?). Both chances wasted.

Lyon should be level at least.

Areola is playing amazing right now, Lyon should have at least equalized if not for him.

Lyon is a tidy looking team. Barely ever watched them before.

It looks like they're doing the worst spy job ever attempted.
They're just missing sunglasses and an open newspaper, with a couple of holes to look through, in front of them.

Great goalkeeping again but some piss poor finishing from Lyon today too.
